Highlander: The Source
On the twentieth anniversary of the cult sci-fi hit Highlander, the legend is reborn in a new trilogy that follows Immortal Highlander Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) on his journey to discover the origin of the first Immortal and unlock the secret source of eternal life. As the world crumbles to chaos and the city falls down all around him, MacLeod's memories drift back to the time he spent with his one true love. Later, when MacLeod comes into contact with a close-knit band of Immortals that include the mysterious Methos and mortal Watcher Joe Dawson, the group sets out on a mission to uncover the secret that has eluded his people for centuries. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

    An Average but likeable Highlander

I'm an Immortal Highlander Fan. The first movie is my favorite movie of all time. The 2nd movie I wish could be erased from space and time because it ruins everything Highlander. The 3rd is an adventure to be watched for a quick fix. EndGame combines both Movie and Series and does justice to the continuation of the series as a whole. The Highlander animated movie "search for vengeance" is an excellent film on par with the original. Now to The Source. I saw it on Scifi the night it debuted. Though partially entertaining, it is just a taste of what you would want and expect for the next chapter of this story. The plot steers away from normal highlander mythology. The main villian is uninspired and lame. The action and pacing are nothing exceptional. Script does nothing for the characters. Music is what is expected right down to the change in the new version of "Princes of the Universe". In closing the movie is not very good but I still can't help but like it. A below average highlander film is better than no Highlander film at all. (As long as it doesn't ruin the story like the second movie did) I guess to enjoy the movie you must be a highlander fan and not expect much going into it.

I watched the movie on Sci-Fi. I am a huge Highlander fan and was extremely excited to see original cast members. However I was not impressed with the fact that they did not have Queen sing the opening song, they changed the quickening. The movie has suspense but it did not feel like a true highlander movie. Something was missing........................

    I good movie

This was an ok Highlander movie. They should have had Queen with Paul Rodgers do the music. They also made this more scifi than Highlander has been. They could have toned this one down and made it a film more like End Game, which is the best film since the original. Overall it was worth watching. I hope its good enough for them to finish the other two parts.
