Features
4K ULED Premium
The 75U9DG has our exclusive ULED technologies. They boost color, contrast, brightness, motion. We could on. Basically, it's the TV your old TV wants to be.
Dolby Vision™ Dolby Atmos
Dolby Vision HDR picture and Dolby Atmos sound are cinema technologies for your home. They provide amazing realism you can see and hear in every scence.
Dual-Cell Technology
Be the first to own the first Dual-Cell Teachnology TV in the US. Two panels stacked together creating 40 times more contrast than a regular LED TV.
Quantum Dot Wide Color Gamut
See over one billion shades. Quantum Dot produces purer, richer, more brilliant and accurate colors than a regular LCD TV. We could get into the science. But it’s a lot easier to say it makes every day look like the 4th of July.
Ultra Motion and 120Hz Native refresh rate
Ultra Motion removes the digital ‘noise’ that can affect moving objects. Everything you see is real clear. The 120Hz native refresh rate means smoother gaming with pictures that keep up with your play.
Game Mode Pro
All the most advanced gaming tech, all in this TV. The automatic low-latency mode (ALLM), variable refresh rate (VRR) and FreeSync minimize input lag, screen jitter, and frame tearing.
2,000,000+ Dimming Zones
One million, nine hundred thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine…two million. Yep, they're all there. Two million zones, all managing brightness independently. Giving the screen near OLED-level black and the brightness of LED.
Hi-View Engine (4K)
The Hi-View Engine processess the picture you see on screen. While you're busy watching it's busy continually adjusting the settings for things like shadows and brightness. So you always see the best possible picture.
Peak Brightness/Full Array Local Dimming Zones
Let's keep it simple, the higher the nit rating, the brighter the screen appears. The average TV is 250-350 nits. Anything over 500 nits is really good. This TV reaches 1,000 nits peak brightness across 2 million+ dimming zones.
Hands-Free Voice Control
Put down the remote. Change the channel. Find the latest movie. Stream your favorite video and more with your voice. The quicker easier way to find whatever you want to watch.
Built-in Google Assistant
The Google Assistant* is built into Android TV. Tell it to turn on the lights, change the thermostat, add stuff to your grocery list, or just play that video of your friend Dave falling over for the millionth time.

24/30fps? Perhaps. 60/120fps? No.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have reviewed this set for about a week now. (I'm coming from a 75Q70R). I knew going in that the motion handling was going to be its Achilles heel. In an art gallery, this tv would be outstanding. However, most of us use our sets to... ya know...watching moving pictures. The blur trail with anything more than 30fps would be unbearable. And that is hard for me to say because I hope that 60fps movies/shows become more main stream. I do not game on this set; I use a monitor to game. Minimum brightness nearly matches an OLED. I measured it at 0.005 nits. From an LCD, that is simply amazing. For HDR brightness, I measured: 1%: 1030 2%: 1040 5%:1160 10%: 1030 25%: 970 This set does offer the best of both worlds: near-OLED blacks, and 1000nit capability without the dreaded white pixel, burn in fears, and no ASBL. Hisense is going down the right path if they want customers. This set offers DTS passthrough/decoding; LG and Samsung dropped it. This set offers both Dolby Vision and HDR10+, it offers arc/earc. The list goes on. This TV is nearly perfect. But the motion handling. One thing that I noticed as well is that the 20-point white balance has a bug. It doesn't represent a linear relationship. Above 50% grey, the modifiers don't work correctly. The 2-point works great. So I only calibrated with the 2-point unfortunately. To sum up: if the user only watches 24/30fps content, then this TV is nearly unbeatable for the price. Brighter than OLED, and nearly as dark. Decent accuracy out of the box. Non-DolbyVision content however doesn't accurately follow the EOTF curve. The 60% point was roughly 100nits brighter than intended. See Rtings review of this set. IPS so great viewing angles. Great anti-reflectivity as well. Fantastic grey uniformity as well - I feel like I hit the jackpot.

Great TV for black level like OLED TV. Loud audio
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV has very clear and sharp picture. The black level is very great. However, whenever there is fast motion, I can see little delaying in motion. It doesn’t happen very often. So, I can live with it. The audio is very loud and clear. Sometimes, I thought I was using soundbar.

Exceeded our expectations
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is pretty superb. We upgraded from a TCL 65R625 6 Series and I can definitely tell that it has better colors, blacks, responsiveness and quality overall. I was skeptical at first and thought about our decision to go with this TV for a while considering this model wasn’t anywhere for us to check out in person and it didn’t have the best reviews on YouTube and other online sources, mainly about motion issues. I can tell you though that I have not seen any motion artifacts or ghosting on all content that we’ve watched on this TV. Movies look amazing. Brightness is just right. Android interface is okay, we use Apple TV anyways. For a sale price of $1500, we’re very happy. Wouldn’t pay over 2-3k for it though like it was originally priced. But either way, well done Hisense

This picture
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture on this set is absolutely stunning. Out of the box, not so much since like every manufacturer, they have all the eco stuff turned on. After turning that off and a few personal adjustments, this picture is the best I've seen thus far. I also have the Hisense 75 H8G and it's not even close. The H8G gets brighter, but that's where the comparison ends. The colors on this set is more vibrant and the contrast in every scene from light to dark is significantly better in every way. It downloaded the latest firmware and have no problems with motion smoothness at all nor any noticeable blooming. The blacks are very dark. The brightness is fine. I'm using theater day mode and my basement has 16 lights in the ceiling and this set still gets bright enough to counter act them. The reflection on this screen is great between the anti reflective screen and brightness, even lights behind it are not seen. Can't be happier with this set especially at this price point. As far as sound, I can not speak for the internal speakers, but using my sound system, it sounds great and supports Atmos.

Colors are excellent and vibrant.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s definitely large enough to be able to see everything. Which is great for vision challenged people. Colors are excellent and true to nature and vibrant. We are having fun learning about all the things we can see in the apps. We are enjoying it!

Take some dramamine before watching.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality is very good after a little tweaking. Blacks look great, and blooming is very minimal. It has great sound quality and gets very loud. It claims to hit 1000nits, but I seriously doubt it gets that bright. I have the backlight set to 100 and it still feels too dim for my liking. My 2016 LG oled gets much brighter than this tv. I would love this tv if the motion wasn't so bad. Fast moving images are blurry and exhibit ghosting. I've never had an issue with motion on any tv prior to this one. I'm seriously considering returning this tv before my return period expires. Overall this is a good tv (motion issues aside), but I cannot recommend it at the current price of $1,999. I got it on sale for $1,199.

Awesome TV, amazing blacks
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a TCL 6 Series 65” to this U9DG 75”. The blacks are as close to oled. The brightness of the tv is amazing for an lcd. Is a little bit on. The heavy side due to the extra panel. Dont nothice motion blur, but i also dont watch sports to much, mainly for Movies, which look amazing. Have had for a couple months now without a single issue. Would definitely recommend this tv, especially if you can get it on sale.

Q: QuestionI bought a U9DG because of the great reviews and bad reviews regarding Motion. Have there been any firmware updates that address motion handling? Have there been any improvements to your motion interpolation features that address the issue?
Asked by Babylon5Fan4LIFE.
- A:Answer I bought this TV on Cyber Monday and it WAS DELIVERED by Best Buy December 23rd. After getting it started, it immediately told me there was an update; the update installed with no problems. The set was very dark out of the box. After setting it using the settings recommended on Rtings.com along with some tweaks of my own, it was better. As far as the motion is concerned, I’ve spent the entire weekend watching football. There have been NO issues with motion. The ball is clear through its flight path. There is no ghosting I can see. All Motion Interpolations settings are set to highest level. It is a GREAT TV!!
