Amazing SmartTV @ an Amazing Price
|Posted .Excellent TV overall. Great interactive system VIDAA. Great Price for a 55" Smart TV. Picture quality is amazing. We've loved every minute we've used it. The APPS are great, no issues. You tube, Netflix, google chrome. Perfect TV for Game Day. Our next TV will definitely be a Hisense. Sound quality is great as well even without the surround sound system. This TV definitely gives Top Name Brands a run for their money. You get the same quality and experience as other name brands but for almost half the cost. AMAZING!!!!

Amazing deal for a smart TV
|Posted .We purchased this model to replace an old DLP set we had. The clarity of picture is amazing. The ability to use and store apps on the set is great. Some other reviews I have seen bagged on the sound quality but I found it pretty good when viewing HD channels. We also hooked up a stereo for movie viewing so sound is no issue there. All in all I found this to be a great set for the money and will look to this brand in the future when it comes time for upgrade.

Awesome TV, just not the absolute best
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis TV is fantastic. Simply put it rivals any of the other 55" 120Hz HD Smart TVs at a substantially lower price ($650 vs $800 is what I saw in the store that day). I assume that wont last for long as popularity increases but the TV is phenomenal. I could be biased because this was an upgrade from my old model which was an 42" 09 720p 60 Hz but that is neither here nor there. Simply put, Samsung, Toshiba, and all the other readily recognizable TV names aren't a necessity anymore. I continue to find little tiny tricks to do with the unit as time goes on. For example, yesterday I removed my Chromecast from the unit and installed it elsewhere, only to notice that when I went to stream a YouTube video to the TV I had installed it on, there was an "H7" option available to cast to... AND IT WAS THE NEW TV! Mega cool, I would love to see that option across other apps installed on the TV which may take some time but I will be more than willing to wait. TL:DR -- Great TV, not really talked up by the sales rep, continues to impress and surprise me every day. The only reason my review is not 5 stars is because 4.5 was not an option and I don't believe its a full 5/5 due to its updating needed and fragile feel. Those comments come from me trying my hardest to find something to criticize.

This Hisense TV is Beyond Smart, it is Brilliant!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendDon't waste your money on expensive name brands like Sony or Samsung, Hisense is as good if not better and for half the price. This 55" TV is a smart cookie loaded to the max with the same features you would normally find in high-end brands like Sony or LG that cost 100's of dollars more. I love everything about this TV, from its white bezel and back to the black glass stand and the 2 remotes. You can use it as a giant monitor for your computer and one of the remotes doubles as a wireless mouse when you shake it. This TV has built in wi-fi and Bluetooth. Netflix and several other app are already installed and ready to use. You can also download other apps through your internet connection. There are too many bells and whistles to name them all. The picture quality is excellent with good contrast and true to life colors. The included user manual is clear and easy to read and understand. Honestly, this is a great TV for $459. My only complaint is that it takes a good 30 seconds to get any sound out after you turn the TV on. It really is annoying and I hope that Hisense will listen to its customers and fix this problem. Regardless of the sound issue, this 55" Hisense TV gets an A+ and has nothing to envy from the so called high-end brands that cost hundreds of dollars more. Excellent TV.

good upcoming tv brand!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI first saw this tv and fell in love with the picture and it's modern unique design without looking at the brand name. After that, I did some research on the brand and eventually purchased it. Nice tv for the price with lots of features. Reminds me of my android phone and tablet. Only small problem is it's slow to start up. That's ok though. I can live with that. The picture quality is good and it's easy to use. It's just as good as the top tv brands without the heffty price tag. Try to get it when it's on sale :-

Cant beat it for the price....needs work
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendSo I had been looking for a TV for some time and holding out because I could not find what I wanted for the price I wanted to spend. Then this caught my eye and I'm not disappointed. Great value for the price, specs, features, connections...its all there for the perfect price. My only gripes, are 3 things...(1) The remote feels ultra cheap...I mean really really cheap, plus its weird in the sense of the batteries are located at the top of the remote so it is top heavy, (2) The response time of pressing the buttons and the TV responding seems to be hit or miss...takes 2 or 3 tries of pushing buttons sometimes....(3) The actual responsiveness of the menus is a little meh....needs to be more snappy...not a deal breaker, but what can you expect for a low price tv. If you want a good TV for a very good price then you can't go wrong with this TV. Dont go into it expecting a TV equivalent to Samsung or Sony LED TV's...again this is a steal of a TV for a great price. For most people this TV will be sufficient to replace a aging TV or a new smart TV purchase or someone who is not a audio or videophile...meaning spending a thousand or so more for it to say Samsung or Sony on the front. As for the smart features, they don't work well on any brand. It's like they (or any TV brand) took a basic android phones apps and put them onto the TV....it works, but not great. The benefits of this are 1080P, LED, 120Hz, 55"......thats where you expectations should begin and end. This TV shines when you get used to it and have tailored the settings to your needs and desires.....takes a few tweaks and trial and error.....but once done....it works like a gem. Very happy. If you're worried about this TV then buy the protection plan and get covered with in home service by Geekaquad. Bottom line they fix it or replace it if something was to go wrong. Though I believe this will last some time :-)

Great Smart TV for the Price
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a great tv for the price. The one drawback is that it takes a little more time to start up than other older tv's that I have had. Other than that, the smart tv function works great, I rarely have any buffering time. There doesn't seem to be too much video game lag. Overall we are very happy with this TV. We bought the tv when it was on sale for 649.99 then 3 days later, it went on sale for 499.99 and Best Buy matched their own price and gave us the difference back. In which we paid for the 2 year protection plan from Geek Squad. I would actually give this TV 4.75 stars.

Very good TV for the money
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI was a little concern buying not top tier brand TV, but it was hard to pass all this TV had to offer for very reasonable price. I read expert reviews and those were not very flattering in regards to picture qualities of this particular TV, however customer reviews were good and I tent to trust my fellow customers more than experts, so i bought the TV. I must say, the picture is better than or compatible with other brands so there was no disappointment there. The Smart app is very advanced and awesome, I am very impressed with it. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone. The only gripe I have is with Best Buy that lists this model as BLACK, yet it is actually white rear and trim. Non of the pictures posted on Best Buy show that and as I said it is also listed as black. It can be very disappointing. If I was not impressed with TV set so much I'd return it just for that reason. Likely frame trim is really narrow and not as noticeable from the front, but it does take getting used to( those who love light IKEA furniture would love this TV design), but I had to compromise.

Q: QuestionLCD vs. LEDWhat's the difference between LCD and LED? Which has the best picture?
Asked by Dawg.
- A:Answer The main difference is the light source used for each TV. LCD uses CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent) while LED uses...LED. They are both LCD screens versus the almost non-existent Plasma which was a different technology all together. To answer the second question "which has the best picture?" Traditionally LED because it can achieve brighter whites and darker blacks (like that of Plasma). However, my parents still have their first LCD TV by Samsung which has a Gloss screen that makes the colors pop and it still rivals a lot of pictures I have seen today. You will be hard pressed to find a CCFL LCD today as the market has transitioned to LED LCD as the costs have come way down. LED LCD also has lower power consumption, and is lighter and thinner than CCFL LCD. Given the maturity of the market you almost can't go wrong with any LED LCD today. First, budget, size. Name brand you will pay for a lot of bells whistles, you may not need/want. You have picked a perfect time buy because with 4K LED LCD screens now in the market it has pushed standard LED LCD prices way down. If this is your main living room/family room tv, go for as big as you can afford. Today, 55" is the norm and can be had for around $500. 65" is the max I would go for standard size room as content can become fuzzy because of how close you would be sitting, motion blur could cause eye fatigue too. At the 65" range you would want to step up to the 4K LED Tv as it offers a better resolution for large screen size TV's. You can get these starting around $800 right now.

Asked by JennSanDiego86.
- A:Answer I tried side loading Hulu since it wasn't available for this device and I haven't had any luck signing in. I access Hulu through my xbox one and Apple TV instead. You could also get chromecast or Roku streaming stick as an alternative. Hope this helps
