If you don't know Anoushka Shankar then you are really missing out! She is of course the daughter of the great Ravi Shankar and was trained by him from birth in art of classical sitar. Despite this, she has her own unique style of playing Sitar as well and plays both classically known ragas but mixes in modern western chords and scale structures as well. Some of her albums are straight classical ragas and other albums are more Western oriented with pop, R and B and reggae. Interesting!
