Before we begin
When we arrive at your home, we'll discuss the scope of work to ensure that services purchased meet your needs and expectations. If they don't, we'll recommend solutions.
Testing your speed
We'll test your current Internet speed using your cell phone and laptop. With a Wi-Fi analyzer, we'll also test signal strength throughout your home to identify trouble zones.
Eliminating trouble spots
We'll help you develop a dead zone elimination plan. This may include recommending changes to your Internet plan and additional devices. We'll install up to 2 of the devices we recommend (devices sold separately).
Setting up your router
We'll set up and configure networking settings for your router, complete the Internet service provider setup, and connect the router to a modem.
Managing your settings
We'll update your router's firmware (if necessary), change router SSID, change administrator user name and password, and enable wireless encryption on the wireless network.
Connecting your devices
We'll connect devices to the new network and establish basic print and file sharing functionality as needed. We'll also fine-tune your Wi-Fi channels and bands to make sure you get the most of your Internet speed.
We'll help you prioritize your connected devices to make the most of your bandwidth. We'll also educate you on guest networks and parental controls, setting up these features for you when desired.
*This service does not include computer repairs, troubleshooting, or custom wiring. Additional charges may be required for land travel beyond installation coverage areas. Service returns cannot be accepted after installation services are completed.
