Great product - easy to install
||Posted .We love the ability to change the climate in the house remotely. Very easy to install - I even did it. Need to make sure there are 5 wires available and connected to the furnace.

WiFi thermostat
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.We bought this to have control of our HVAC system when we are away from our weekend lake house. Works great to adjust the temperature to a comfortable setting a couple of hours before we arrive. The app is very clear and easy to control. It also provides a 5 day forecast for your location.

Honeywell WiFi Thermostat
||Posted .Check to see if you have a “C” wire behind your current thermostat before purchasing. If not, be prepared to spend another $30 to get a C Wire Power adaptor which requires rewiring the thermostat wiring in your furnace. It’s not rocket science but you need to be comfortable doing this. Once installed, worked well with WiFi access just as advertised!

Simple to replace but do read the instructions
||Posted .I looked at all the options for Wifi Thermostats and settled on this one - it replaced a conventional Honeywell Thermostat that looked just like this one. I did have to change the base , but the wiring matched what I took out. So that part was simple. The Thermostat can be used on a number of heating and cooling systems. (I have an electric heat pump) - This unit comes from the factory preset to work with a conventional AC unit. So when I first turned the unit on - nothing worked (panic, frustration, and dreams of scathing reviews did course through my veins) then I read the instruction manual (Yes mam, I probably should have read those first - but Im a guy and all guys are born with truth that instructions are just another man's opinion on how to get the job done).... Once I read the instructions - It was a simple as changing the presets to work with my system - and bam. This works great with Alexa via a Samsung Smart Hub. I keep the standalone app on my phone as well because it gives me feedback of the inside temp of my house (at least at where the thermosat is)

- A:Answer The 4th wire could be for AC. If you don't have AC, don't use it.

- A:Answer Yes you can use more than one and then name the zones when programming the thermostat. The app will also show the thermostats and zones covered. You can then set them separately.

- A:Answer You can certainly replace/upgrade your old Honeywell, as I did. Simplicity of instalation will depend on the wiring of your old thermostat and how handy you are. I will say, worst case scenario, Honeywell offers clear, easy to follow instructions to help you through the process.
