Help ensure your home is free of allergens with this Honeywell True HEPA HPA300 air purifier, which removes most particles as small as 0.3 microns. The activated carbon pre-filter reduces odors, and electronic indicators remind you to change the filter.
A: I chatted with Best Buy and was told the difference was in available speeds. On the HPA300VP model is shows it having only 3 speeds while the HPA300 model showing it has 4 speeds. I also seen that as being the main difference besides a few others difference in item descriptions that I blame on Best Buy. Still Best Buy told me the 4 speed model would likely be the better model in terms of performance. So I decided to call Honeywell and ask the company reps themselves. Honeywell customer service told me that there was no difference what so ever in the models, both were the exact same thing. I told him Best Buy pointed out the speed difference and even had it in their product description. Again the guy told me there’s no difference. He told me both products had indeed 4 speeds. He added that different stores have different letters on the same Honeywell product. So I’m still kinda confused. Still I believe Honeywell because I myself have caught and seen numerous product discription errors from the Best Buy website. Best Buy does a horrible job in providing accurate product information.
Q: How much are the replacement filters and how long do they last? Also where do you buy them?
A: Hey CJ! The HPA300 uses a pre-filter (HRF-AP1) and the True HEPA filter (HRF-R3) is a 3-pack. The Pre-filter should be changed every 3 months and the HEPA filter is recommended to be replaced every 12 months. The frequency will vary based on actual usage of the unit, there is a reminder light that will illuminate to remind you. Thank you!
Q: Does this use an ozone light as a feature for air purification or just filters?
A: No. This model Honeywell does not use Any light for filtration. It works with two types of filters, a main filter and the pre-filter. I live out in the country and the dust is twice as much as it is in town. I have a large house 3800 ft.² but I have three of the Honeywell 460 sq ft filters systems in my house and it works wonders for my allergies. Good luck
Q: Does this come with an air filter?
A: Yes it comes with 3 hepa filters and a carbon filter.
A: Actually it does help with the pet dander issue. It’s HEPA so it does remove it from the air. I had the same issue when we brought a big dog into the house. You have 3 fan settings so you can adjust if it sounds loud for some reason. Mines on high in the evening as it’s not loud at all for me. Filters are easy to come by and can be blown out to extend their life.
Q: Does this product remove mould spores
A: Yes it will stop mold spores, but beware that if you do not remove the source they will still reproduce.
Q: Can a air purifier be used at the same time a humidifier is being used in the same room?
A: Yes you can use a air purifier and a humidifier in the same room together, and if you are looking forward to maximizing the humidifier baby benefits, it is vital to use both the air purifier and a humidifier in one room simply because they are not the same. I have both in my apartment.
A: A.) Thank you for taking time to view our product. This air purifier will capture up to 99.97% of airborne microscopic allergens (.3 microns and larger). This includes; dust, pollen, tobacco smoke, cooking smoke, fireplace smoke, pet dander and mold spores. The way that this air purifier works is a fan draws the surrounding air in towards the unit, and the air passed through the filters, which trap most of the particulates in the air. Unfortunately, if any particles lands on the walls or furniture before it reaches the unit, it will not be able to remove these particles. We hope this information is helpful.
