Set It and Forget it
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.It’s a Great value for having a 1 Gallon tank and it is real simple to take apart for cleaning. Remember not to add scents directly to the water because oils will ruin the ability for your humidifier to generate steady steam. It has a handy cup on the top to add scented oils and warm mist creates a better opportunity to diffuse oils but this will never get hot enough to the point where it will affect the temperature within your room. For an open space, get something bigger but for a simple small to medium sized room, this is perfect. Also, you can buy a variety pack of oils, right here on the Best Buy Website. *The Scent Cup is that little bowl at the top left of the picture.

Does not have a humidistat
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This product does not have a humidistat as it claims under the overview and specification. Dont buy if you want to be able to see the humidity level of the room and to be able to set the humidity level. Pictured is what beat buy defines what a humidistat is but the product does not have

It lasted about 10 minutes
||Posted .I tried both distill and tap water. Can't get it to run more than 10 minutes. It keep saying there is no water when the tank has more than half gallon left. What a piece of trash.

- A:Answer I used this Honeywell humidifier almost daily for 2 months (late winter + early spring), and I used tap water which resulted in accumulation of white mineral dust. I also cleaned the unit after each refill. I should have used distilled water, but I was lazy :( I'm not sure if I have hard water in this area (Northern Oregon). This humidifier doesn't use a filter as it is ultrasonic (no fan), not the evaporative kind of humidifier.

- A:Answer Dee, You may have received an answer by now, but just in case. I wouldn't add the Vicks directly to the water. There is a spot at the top of the cover where you could put the Vicks. You can also use this to add essential oils so that it is distributed in the air. Hope this was a help.

Q: QuestionI just purchased the Honeywell Home-1 Gal Warm Mist Humidifier-Black and it will not stay running. It starts to work and then the red light at the top will come on. I have check and it is level. Please help and let me know what could be wrong.

- A:Answer Everyone has this very same issue. The answer is very simple. The third turn on the nob is only to quickly warm-up or boil the water. As soon as the water starts to boil, you have to turn the knob down to humidifier mode. Then it will go on until all the water is empty. Fill it up again and do the same each time. That will solve your red light problem.
