The best heater I've ever owned! I live in a 900 sq apartment, now in SF, it's 48F. I've used many other heaters before like the Optimus radiant, Comfort Zone, Lasko Oil Radiator etc. But I found this Honeywell extremely good and efficient in heating. First of all, it heats up a 50F room of 15X15 fast. I usually make it run on low setting. In just 10 minutes, there is big difference already in the room. Temp climbs up to 56. 20 minutes later, 60. Outside it was 45F. When it was colder, I use the high setting of 1500 watt. It maintains my entire apt at 58F. This is our ONLY heating system, we do not have any other heating source in our old old apt that's not quite well insulated. The best thing I like is the safety features--which according to Consumer Reports' test, it's one of the best for fire safety. The other being the Dyson new designed heater that costs $400! I am totally satisfied with this item!

    Swweeeet Heaters

I live in a two story condo about 1000 sq ft. and we had the floor radiating heaters that use lots of $$$$ so my gf and I bought 3 of these, two for downstairs and one for our upstairs bedroom and we went from $220 on our electric in the winter to $110. HUGE Difference. My feedback to Honeywell would be to make it so you can set the temp between 68-75 individual degrees instead of 65,70,75,80. Its nice because you can leave the house without having to worry about it catching your house on fire because it has a tip detector that I tested and works very well. Bought them around 11 months ago and they all three still work and are on all the time.

I bought this in case of another outage, we would be able to use this with our generator . No outage yet, BUT my oil delivery could not arrive on schedule and i wanted to conserve the oil we had for showers. I used this little heater, turned my thermosat to 60 and the heater to 75. In about 2 hours not only was my downstairs temp reading 72, but upstairs was at 68. I have a Levitt ranch with a full dormer . So not big, but still a large space for a little heater.

I am using mine to heat approximately 400 sq. ft. of an upstairs in a cape-cod style home. I am only using one heater and it is doing a great job keeping the area warm (2 rooms). 4 grandson's sleep up there and I feel very safe using it for them. There is an automatic tip-over shut off, but this thing is stable enough the way it is designed that I don't think that's a probability....unless the boys would be horsing around. The main thing is to make sure nothing is sitting close to the heater. The heat it provides is very warm and there is an adjustable thermostat switch. There is a fan that blows the warm air out and I think it's much better than the "radiant" style heaters. I am buying another for my basement as my daughter is living there at this time. I believe this has saved on the heat bills for sure!

This is the one to buy to heat a non-heated garage in the winter. You can't hear it run, there is no power spikes ever from this unit, and at 15 below it powered the heat to the garage to 65 on it's own and held it there for a 48 hrs period, and there was no struggle for it. We've used it so far atleast 30 time, it still turns on and operates like when we bought it. Nothing in the price range compares to the performance of this unit.

Not a lot of heat, broken after 45 days

The heat emitted was decent but it broke 2 weeks after the 30 day return policy. Now I have to pay to ship it back to Honeywell and also provide a check for return shipping. Best Buy did not return my email when I asked about a possible in-store return after the 30-day period.

This heats very quickly and I'm so glad I found it. The only concern I have is with the position of the control pad. It is inconveniently and inconspicuously located on the side of the heater instead of the top. I either have to be level with the control pad to read it so that means pick it up or get on the ground. If you pick it up it turns off which is fine.
