I use this on my best pro zoom lens, and it has no impact on image quality whatsoever. It prevents me from having to clean the front element if the lens is being used in dusty or wet conditions. I have never had a protection filter that was both so clear and so easy to clean (with a lenspen) if it gets dirty or wet. I have the Hoya EVO series UV and polarizer filters for all my serious glass. It's as good or better than the top end B&W products, which are more expensive.

Great UV filter with well made threading. I use this filter all the time to protect my 70-200 Canon lens from any possible scratches and to keep any dust off my lens’s very expensive glass. I also find the threading very well crafted so that I can quickly remove it for any photoshoots or whenever I decide to switch in a polarized filter and never have to worry about cross threading or any other thread damage to my lenses

I've begun to use EVO filters because they are lighter, dust resistant, water, stain and scratch resistant. I used to use only B+W filters but have found bubbles and other weird particles in their filters so I switched and have been very satisfied with my decision. They are also cheaper than the B+W comparable filter.

BB has 25% off when buying 3 items ,, so i decided to get an upgrade with this filter compared to cheeper ones i have and of course for scratch protection of this instead of the original lens ,,, the description of tougher coating made me select this to try for now ... I did some macro shots and seems to be ok and no complaints

Although the debate of putting poor glass in front of an expensive lens has me worried. This UV filter seems to be good. I have another 77mm filter that yielded poor photos, but this one looks good. If you need the extra protection on your lens, this is a good choice.

I always use UV filters to protect all of my camera lenses. The Antistatic properties of the Hoya Antistatic filters work great. So far, they have been the best at repealing dust and require less cleaning.

The antistatic is a must. I shoot rural landscapes and always get dust on my lense. I've been through 2 shoots since putting it on and not a speck in sight. A+
