This is an ok computer, I had a geek friend set mine up and he had a few problems getting it to change from S Mode to regular windows 10. Best Buy Geeks when he called them kept telling him it didn't have Smode, which it does. So if you run any programs that aren't bought from the Microsoft store they won't run on Smode ad you will need to convert. Once this was done my computer is running smooth.

This is a great laptop for the price! The speed on this laptop is very good and easily multitasks. The finish on this laptop is nice and looks and feels like a much more expensive one. Screen viewing is quite good for the user, only extreme corner angles can look a little dark as expected for this price point. All in all this is a great product. Please note it comes in Windows 10 S, so you will have to turn off the S mode if you want to install other non-S software.

Bought to be used as a second laptop and for home schooling purposes. Setup and navigation are very user friendly.

I bought this laptop since I work at home a couple of days per week. Great laptop. Love the keyboard. Price was right! Could not go wrong, especially since this is a HP brand.

I love this computer, I got it for what I wanted, basic email and internet, as word processor and spreadsheet activity. Light weight, easy to operate. The Staff at Best BUY was very knowledgeable and help me all the way in making this purchase.

Both versions are great for K-12 students and college students, as well as adults who need a laptop for basic functions: email, Microsoft Office and, of course, Netflix and Spotify. The combination of Windows 10 S mode and a 128gb ssd mean that the laptop boots up in less than one minute, faster than many $1,000 laptops. What is Windows 10 S Mode? It is a version of Windows 10 designed for students and schools. In S Mode, you can install software and apps ONLY from the official Microsoft store, ensuring that your laptop can not be infected with malware. Windows S mode is designed to keep your laptop safe and secure and working swiftly and smoothly. All Windows updates are carefully screened by Microsoft to be safe and reliable before they are installed on an S Mode laptop. I bought two of the Intel versions and turned OFF Windows 10 S mode on the first one. That allowed HP to install a new BIOS on the laptop which caused the screen to go black. A useless brick. The second laptop continued to use Windows S mode and gets all updates ONLY from the official Microsoft store. It continues to work like new. LESSON LEARNED: leave your Windows 10 S Mode laptop in S Mode. ONE WEAKNESS: this is NOT a gaming laptop. It can run simple and basic games but NOT the most demanding fast action graphics games. This laptop was designed to be a GREAT computer for school work, but for WORK, not for games. And, demanding graphics programs such as Photoshop will work very, very slowly.
