I needed an additional drive to facilitate information transfer and based on past experience this is a quality unit. I have yet to use it to copy disks, but I used it to install the new operating system with no problems, other than that microsoft Windows Update FAILS TO FUNCTION, on the last four windows 7 systems I have installed.

This HP internal CD drive performs better than the original CD drive that was installed in my desktop PC. It operates seamlessly and was even easier to install than what I originally thought would be a difficult task to complete. As always, Best Buy came through for me as the store had it in stock, which is one of the reasons that I remain a loyal customer.
