Wireless Setup was very easy
||Posted .This was the first printer that we've had that can be setup in a wireless network. The printer is located in my husband's office and was purchased primarily for him (he's not at all technical, so I'm the IT support at our house). I wanted an HP printer because I've had better luck with HP printers than other brands. This one had the features that we wanted (print, scan, copy) and was listed at a good price. I hadn't even thought about the wireless aspect when I bought it, but after I got it setup for him, I decided to also setup wireless printing from the "printerless" laptop we have in our kitchen. Very easy to do and works great. I ordered from BestBuy.com and did the in-store pickup -- I really like that option. Very satisfied customer. Jury's still out on the ink consumption. Seems like it might be too high, but my husband may be printing more than he realizes.

Works Everytime!
||Posted .I returned an Epson printer for this HP Printer which had similar features and I couldn't be more happy. The Epson took 20mins to set up and the HP took 5-7 mins and was easy. The Epson required an AB cable which was not included and had to purchase for $25. The HP set up wirelessly and included a AB cable - go figure - The Epson would lose its wireless settings and the HP has no problems finding my laptop when times comes to print! The printer is a little on the noisy side but, I like it since its in a different room and I can hear when printing is done. Print quality is good, Scan quality is good and the document shows up on your desktop immediately. Copy quality is acceptable. For the casual user that doesn't require super high quality copies this printer might be for you. Good printer for well under $100

Very good value for price paid!
||Posted .It's very good for the twenty-nine ninety nine price I paid. But I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't a bit of a pain to print on both sides of a sheet of paper. There is no direct setting to do this in the included software like there was in my old HP printer. Once you hit "Print" and the dialog box opens up, you have to then go into "Properties" and select the "print odd pages only" function, then press "OK", then "Print". Then you must go over to the printer, flip the page or pages around and place them back into the paper feeder, then go back into "Properties" in the printer software and tell it to then print the "Even" pages! Pain in the neck! But the wireless feature is awesome, and it does print very nicely & quickly! I also like the fact that you can print from anywhere in the world with their ePrint software that comes with it! It's very easy to use. Rumor has it though that HP might update the software to include other features at some point. As far as ink consumption goes, we've had it for about a month now, and under moderate use it's now first saying that the black ink level is low. I think we got more use out of the #20 & 21 ink cartridges in our old HP printer than with the #60/61 cartridges in this one.

Home use printer
||Posted .I got it as a replacement for a previous HP printer which got jammed and no longer worked. I needed a paper to scan documents and have wireless connection so everyone in my household could use the printer from their respective device. I needed a color printer because I print out a lot of articles. This printer met all of my requirements.

Better than expected
||Posted .I must say first of all that the last time I purchased a printer was over 10 years ago. So I was happily surprised that this printer performs better than expected (compared to price). I love the wifi printing option (you can do so from a smartphone or through an email account).

HP 3050A Keeps Droping Wireless Connection w/Lion
Posted .Best Buy has a great return policy. I've had two Brother wireless printers so far this year. I returned both of them after an average of 5 months because they started dropping the wireless connection. I have 2 MacBook Pro computers (both running Lion) in the house, neither of which drop the wireless connection. Brother could not offer any help other than what I had tried myself. I did like the Brother printer -- great quality print, good price and functions, and especially because I could purchase generic ink from Amazon -- a pack of 12 for under $10 ! After the second Brother failed to keep the connection, I returned it and exchanged it for this HP Deskjet 3050A -- mainly because I now have an iPad 2 and a new iPod touch, both of which can use AirPrint, which is a function of this printer. In less than a week this printer began dropping the wireless connection -- at least the Brother kept it for almost 6 months. I used HP's website program (really a great feature), which automatically set a static IP address for the printer, which was one solution they recommended. It worked for 24 hours. The printer again began dropping the connection, but I was able to use AirPrint to print from both the iPad2 and the iPod touch. That proves to me it can't be the router causing the problem. At the time I had the Brother printers, I was still running Leopard, so it doesn't seem that the operating system of the Mac makes any difference. I can usually get the wireless connection back by shutting down the printer and/or the router, but I keep the printer cable handy at all times. And most of the time, when I do get the connection back, the documents will print, but the printer window will say that the printer is not connected ! Can't figure that one out at all. It's really frustrating, but I will keep this printer simply for the AirPrint function, which is a great backup, and I'll continue trying to resolve the problem. Except for dropping the wireless connection, I do like this printer. Ink is much more expensive than the Brother, and no generic seems to be available. I do get a corporate discount if I order direct from HP, and they offer free next-day delivery via FedX (even if you don't get a corporate discount), which is great.

Great printer! Very happy with purchase so far...
Posted .I have to admit after reading some of the reviews on here that I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this product. However I realize that there are always going to some problems with any product, so I took the chance, especially since it had an overall decent rating. And boy am I glad I did! It has been a real champ! I did experience a few stutter steps in setting up the wireless printing function, however I am fairly adept at troubleshooting most computer issues. And to be honest I usually expect them with any new product! The remaining set-up was a breeze! And the range of the wireless printing is phenomenal! I can print from the back bedroom all the way to the front of the house, at least 60 feet. Not to mention that HP is the only printer that actually comes with both a color and black ink cartridge as opposed to having to buy both right off the bat! Plus it is compact, so if you have space issues in your "office" area like I do, this is a great choice. And the paper feeder in the back lifts up, so you can put it against the wall, again saving space! Overall for the money, this is a deal that is going to be hard to beat!

Excellent Value
Posted .The "HP DeskJet Network-Ready Wireless Color e-All-In-One Printer (Model: CR232A#B1H | SKU: 2573177)" does not have a catchy name but is a great little printer/copier/fax/etc. operation. It is a basic machine with some modern updates. Most “all in one” models fail to excel and anything and sometimes fail to deliver on at least one promised function. This HP model is easy to install, takes MUCH less space that the competitive offerings and prints and copies quickly and cleanly. It's not the greatest scanner but that should not be the primary reason to select this printer. If you need to print online receipts, coupons, homework, or general household or home office jobs, this printer is highly capable and SIMPLE. It may be too lightweight for a busy office but it's ideal for home use, and SIMPLE! It also works wirelessly, something that our more expensive Canon printer could never seem to resolve. Overall, we are very happy with this easy-to-use printer and recommend it for reasons stated.
