Works great, Love it!! Would recommend to anyone
|Posted .Really good computer, fast, love it. Movies look real good on it. Must buy a external dvd, But that's fine, Would definitely recommend the camera too. Excellent video & pictures, I will use this instead of my camcorder, Would have shown excellent video of my kids riding there four wheeler, But this a little new to me, And didn't know how to download yet.
I would recommend this to a friendRating 5 out of 5 stars with 1 review
Great desktop, laptop and tablet all in one
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis computer really is a desktop, laptop and tablet all rolled into one. One minute I'm using it at my desk with the wireless keyboard, the next minute I unplug the power cord and move it to the couch while I watch tv using the touchscreen feature. The touchscreen virtual keyboard works great, and since the "real" keyboard is wireless I can choose to just bring it to the couch as well. This comp really does function well as all three- desktop, laptop or tablet. I'm extremely happy that we bought the HP Envy Rove. Plus it contains beats audio which is Dr. recommended...

It is an all-in-one that can travel.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI call this an iPad on steroids, as it looks like an over-sized tablet, and is fairly heavy. The touch screen is excellent -- very responsive. The fact that the monitor can be positioned at any angle is truly a plus. The brace in the back of the monitor is hydraulic, and appears when a large button which is flat against the body of the monitor is pressed -- very cool! It is actually a fun product. This is my third HP computer. I stay with HP because they have fantastic tech support!

All good, except "libraries" doesn't open
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendA tough learning curve, but what can I expect, going from an XP to 8.1 after 9 years. As I get it customized to my preferences I like it more and more. I worked around the libraries snafu as I created my own folders, and avoid the cryptic message "You may delete this library", which doesn't work, by the way. Any advice on this issue would be appreciated. I haven't figured out Bookmarks yet, but that may be a Google issue. I'd like to use Chrome but Mozilla is still easier for me, as I am familiar with it. I like the way my music is handled, and the speakers are fine for my ear - but I would like to figure out how to connect my own speakers, which I think are better. I have scads of pictures and there's plenty of memory for them, plus I can use them as a screensaver as I did before. All in all, I'm happy with the Rove.

Good introduction to portable All-in-one Desktops
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI believe this computer is a great introduction to the portable All-in-one Desktop. In my case, the ability to disconnect and reconnect the Rove from its power source is vital if you live in a studio or smaller apartment. It's super simple to relocate it, including its wireless keyboard and mouse to wherever you need it to me. However, my biggest drawback is that it doesn't operate as modern at is looks than most up to date computers. The Beats Sound system is nothing spectacular either.

If only it came with more RAM it would be great
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI can not judge the value as I got this when Best Buy ran the 40% off of Open Box, but I can I really love the touchscreen and the portability. My son and I plop this on the ottoman, sit back on the coach, and watch movies, my wife takes it to the kitchen to work on things in the morning, and it takes up almost no room on the desk leaving it clean. I installed another 4GB of RAM and now it runs really well, a shame that a new PC is using over 90% memory anytime you have too much open and with the Panels in Windows 8 most things keep running. If you do this make sure you get 1.35V RAM and not 1.5V. Love it overall.

Great computer
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThe computer is great but I hate windows 8. It is way to complicated to use. I wish that you had the option to change it to an older format of windows.

Great large touchscreen for everyone to view
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI enjoy the ease of using the "tile" system to open my Email, browser, Facebook, etc. I am still a novice at this so finding the "how to step by step processes" of doing certain actions has been difficult. More on-line step by step instructions on basic movements within Windows 8 might help someone like me. Maybe those instructions are there and I haven't found them yet!
Q: QuestionWall mount availabilityIs there any plan to have a wall mount available for this device? This device is very similar to the Sony Tap 20, but we couldn't use it due to a lack of a wall mount.

Q: QuestionWhy the mediocre not-so-fast processor i3?Competitors are using the i5 or i7 along with Tegra where they are offering a dual operating system such as two of them are; meaning you can switch from android to Win 8 with a button. Similar price range but can HP consider speeding this thing up?
Asked by Mrlaw711.
- A:Answer I had concerns of "only an i3 processor", but I can understand why. I also own an HP ENVY 23 Touchscreen i7 with 16GB Memory and 2TB Hard drive. I love it, but the Rove 20 is also lovable in its own rights. Many mid priced laptops use the i3 processor for two reasons, 1) to keep the cost of the computer down and 2) longer battery life. The HP ENVY Rove 20 has a specific fit in the use of computers. It is reasonably priced and performs well. I find it fast enough for most of my computer needs. I also have a 17" laptop, but I enjoy our Rove 20 much more than a laptop. The Rove 20 is a super size 20" tablet.

Q: QuestionWhat is the battery life?
Asked by rgf42.
- A:Answer On average, 6-cell Lithium-Ion batteries will last approximately two to three hours on a single charge. Unfortunately, exact battery run time and life span information is not available. Various factors, such as the temperature of the battery, the applications running on the notebook, any attached devices, the brightness of the display, and the notebook power management settings all determine the run time and life span of your battery. Also, the performance and charge times of Lithium-ion batteries decrease over time. There are suggested ways to help increase the run time and life span of your battery: - Reduce the brightness of the screen to the minimum readable level - Remove peripherals (External hard drives, CD-ROMs, Zip drives, PC cards, and other peripheral devices) when not in use; these devices can draw power from your battery even when they are not in active use - Reduce the speed of your processor - Turn off the Wireless On-Off button when it is not in use (If your notebook has one)

Q: QuestionWhy no HDMI port?I see it has WIDI capability but that requires buying another piece of equipment to connect to an HD TV with HDMI to obtain actual HD. For example if I a download an HD movie or have other HD video (regardless of source) seems to make sense to simply add a full or micro-HDMI port.
Asked by mrlaw711.
- A:Answer If you downloading a true HD movie, it's 25GB + PER movie, thats unlikely. It's more like 720 stream (called HD) over a 480. Rove won't degrade any video you downloaded if it streams out. You can wifi Bluetooth, widi..
