If you are searching fo a general purpose laptop this is the one for you. It has excellent speed when running apps and surfing the Internet. The beats sound is adequate for music and video playback. The touch screen is equivalent to any tablet. The only drawback I have come across is the glide pad takes a bit of getting use to. The pad works fine but does not work like others I have used. It comes with detailed instructions on how to use it but after years of using the other model its hard to break old habits and makes it feel as though the glide pad is not working. Most of the time I use a USB mouse which eliminates my concern. Besides that this is a very good laptop especially for the price!

Love the laptop and the price was great, but I am not a fan of the windows 8. The touchscreen is amazing, but I believe that if I learn Windows 8 a little more then I will be ok. I love the Beatsaudio it sounds awesome! watching movies and videos is heaven :).

This laptop was by far the best priced laptop to chose from. The processor is fast enough for my school work which is the main reason I got the computer. At first I didnt think I needed the touchscreen but it is very handy and awesome! I will say the battery life is only about three hours when the store told me it would be five. Other than that great buy!

Appearance wise, this laptop looks very nice with the aluminum finish. The laptop is a little heavier than I would like to be, but I will rarely move it around so it is not a big issue for me. It also has no optical drive, but that is also no big deal to me. One problem that I did run into like with other reviewers is with the mousepad. At random times, the mousepad just decides to act randomly moving the mouse around and sometimes does not click when I push down. To fix this, I would have to uninstall the mousepad program and then reinstall it for it to work. Another issue that I have run into is with the hard drive. Sometimes I hear a soft click every now and again. It happens randomly and only for a few minutes. I have run every hard drive test that I can find, including the SMART test, and I believe that this has nothing to do with the click of death. Besides these two issues, I have enjoyed this laptop greatly. It is very fast, and I have had no problems with moving all of my stuff from my old computer to this one. I did not like that the laptop only had 6 GB of RAM, so I went ahead and upgraded to 8 GB. (Note: Despite what it says on the website, you can upgrade the RAM on this laptop to 16 GB. Just be sure you pick the correct kind of RAM for this laptop.) While technically this is not a gaming laptop, you can still play a large amount of games such as LEGO Batman 3 and STALKER. While I am not the biggest fan of Windows 8, it works for what it is and I will be looking forward to Windows 10 when it is released later this year. The touchscreen works fine and I have had zero problems with it. The beats audio sounds great and plays videos and music much better than the average laptop. The laptop also has a backlit keyboard for typing in the dark, and has an HDMI port to connect the laptop to an HDTV. Overall this a very good laptop, and I do recommend it to other people.

I purchased this laptop about a month ago and have used it daily since. For what I do (emails, facebook, writing, etc.), this machine is more than adequate. It was important to me to buy a quality computer that would remain relevant to industry standards for at least 4 to 5 years and I think this is it. The issues with the touchpad did start happening after the first update, but with a few tweaks to settings, they don't seem to be a huge issue. I do tend to use a wireless mouse most of the time anyways, so this made it even less of a problem. I like the touchscreen and found it to be very responsive. I didn't think I would use it as much as I do, so that was a bonus. Beats audio speakers sound great and make watching movies a breeze. Only thing missing is an internal dvd drive, but this is an easy fix.

This is a great computer for the money. I chose the AMD over the Intel because it is a true quad-core and about 100 dollars less. The onboard Radeon video chip is great and hasn't had any issues with video or games. Doesn't seem to get hot unless you open multiple programs with video. The Beats music setup is nice but don't expect much in the way of low end sound with these speakers. What you do get is a crisp music experience that can be well tuned through the beats equillizer.The only negative that I have noticed, the keyboard flexes in certain areas when typing. The future will tell if it will be a problem. I do recommend buying the extended warranty and you get a new battery and charging cord after a year.

I bought this laptop to replace my 3 year old HP Pavilion as it has seen better days. I needed a computer that was fast, powerful, and affordable, and this is it. It has a good graphics card (I can run Sims 4 and MMORGs almost flawlessly), and the touchscreen really comes in handy with Windows 8. I also like the numeric keypad and backlit keyboard (both things my old laptop didn't have). Plus, the Beats Audio is amazing! If I crank up the volume to max, you can hear it throughout the entire house. One negative is that the battery life is so-so. I feel like I'm charging it all the time. But other than that, I am very satisfied with this laptop.
