A Speed Demon with Some Hiccups
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is a compelling laptop for those seeking a balance of speed, portability, and affordability. Pros: Blazing Fast Performance: The laptop packs a punch with i7 processor, resulting in smooth and responsive performance even when multitasking or running demanding applications. Lightweight Champion: This laptop is surprisingly light for a gaming laptop, making it a convenient forportability. Storage That Flies: The inclusion of a 1TB SSD is a game-changer.(made me buy this) Crystal Clear Vision: The 1080p camera delivers excellent image quality, making video calls and online meetings. Cons: Plastic Fantastic? While the design is sleek and modern, the chassis feels somewhat plasticky. The Wobbly Screen: The display on this laptop can wobble slightly with motion. This is a minor issue, but it can be bothersome for some users. Wi-Fi hiccups: While the Wi-Fi connectivity is generally good, occasional hiccups and dropped connections can be frustrating. This is an area that could benefit from improvement. Dimmer Than Desired: The screen brightness on this laptop can be a bit underwhelming, especially in well-lit environments. This can make working or viewing content outdoors or in brightly lit rooms somewhat challenging. Overall Verdict: The Omen is a solid choice for users seeking a fast, portable, and affordable laptop. It shines in its performance, storage, and camera quality, but some users might be hesitant due to the plastic build, screen wobble, and occasional Wi-Fi issues. If you prioritize portability, performance, and storage above all else, this laptop is a worthy contender in its price range. However, if you value a premium build quality and a flawless display, you might want to consider other options.

Unleashing Gaming Powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently made the exhilarating upgrade to the HP OMEN 16.1" Gaming Laptop, and suffice it to say, I am blown away by its exceptional performance and features. Firstly, the design in shadow black is not just aesthetically pleasing, but it also exudes a sense of power and sophistication. The build quality is top-notch, and the attention to detail is evident in every corner of this sleek machine. Now, let's talk about the heart of this beast - the Intel Core i7 processor paired with a formidable NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050. The gaming experience is nothing short of spectacular, with every frame delivered crisply on the vivid 144Hz Full HD display. Whether I'm engaged in fast-paced action or exploring visually stunning landscapes, the laptop's graphics prowess never fails to impress. The 16GB memory ensures smooth multitasking, and the 1TB SSD offers lightning-fast load times for games and applications. It's a joy to witness how seamlessly this machine handles even the most resource-intensive tasks, making it a versatile powerhouse beyond gaming. The backlit keyboard is not just a visual treat but also highly functional, providing a comfortable and responsive typing experience. The inclusion of dedicated macro keys adds a layer of customization for gaming enthusiasts, allowing for quick and precise commands. What's truly commendable is the laptop's cooling system. The OMEN's thermal management keeps the temperatures in check even during extended gaming sessions, ensuring consistent performance without any throttling. In terms of portability, the laptop strikes a good balance between power and weight. It's not the lightest gaming laptop out there, but the added features more than compensate for the slightly heavier build. Finally, the audio quality is outstanding. The Bang & Olufsen speakers deliver immersive sound, enhancing the overall gaming and multimedia experience. In conclusion, the HP OMEN 16.1" Gaming Laptop has exceeded my expectations. It's not just a gaming laptop; it's a complete entertainment and productivity package. If you're in the market for a high-performance gaming laptop that doesn't compromise on design and functionality, the HP OMEN is undoubtedly a worthy investment. It's a true game-changer in every sense of the word.

Overall great purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it during Black Friday with a big discount, for what I paid it was a steal! Fast and efficient for gaming, game development, and design programs. I did have issues with losing my WiFi connection, but in the end, it was resolved. You may want to look into WiFi card replacement.

Good for programming/games, Bad battery life
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a computer science, major and bought this laptop, hoping it would meet all my needs in terms of speed. it has been able to meet all my needs for my classes and I'm able to deploy websites and run code pretty quickly. I also play games like VALORANT and it runs just fine. The screen is big enough that I can comfortably view two windows side-by-side for studying/homework & I can play games fine! I like that the screen is matte as it doesn't show as much glare as a regular screen. I like that the keys are big, despite the lack of a number pad on the right side, which allows each key to be bigger and makes it easier to type. The keyboard is also backlit so it is easy to work in a dark room. The camera quality is fine for things like zoom meetings, and also has a feature where you can disable the camera by simply sliding the button over. Thebmajor drawback of this computer is the battery life. My college classes are usually 1hr 15min and I almost always end up having to charge my laptop during that class. I often have 2 to 3 classes a day and I always have my laptop plugged in if I have the chance to. I cannot go to any café or study space if there is no outlet. Overall, it is a good laptop if you work a lot from home where you can charge it. But, if you are on the go and don't have access to outlets all the time, definitely go for something with a better battery life.

Flatout incredible Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible laptop for the price. It runs Autodesk Fusion 360 and 4k games really well. It can play multiple HD YouTube videos, 4K game and Spotify all at once. The Windows 10 functionality is beyond what I expected ,especially with the "Link to Windows" which is flawless on my Samsung S22. Even the built in speakers are decent. I'm very happy with the purchase and opted for the 3yr protection plan.

Great gaming for the money.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is a budget priced powerhouse. It will run any game I've played so far as well as one could hope. The only consideration is the same one all laptops have, you will want to get something to help it stay cool.

Great Performance ! Great Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a Mac user, got this laptop to run a software that was only available on PC, it's really good, i can't complain. Fan noise can be loud when pushed at times. But overall it's a solid choice and good price too.

Amazing purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly better than I thought it was going to be. I’ve had gaming laptops before and while they can run stuff well most of the time, they definitely slow down after continued play time, but I’ve been able to run Baldur’s gate and other modern games at high graphics without having to worry about frames dropping or overheating. While the fans inside are loud they definitely get the job done, and the battery life does run out fast when running games, but that would be the same in almost every other gaming laptop when you’re running these games. TL;DR: Great for gaming, stays cool, keep it plugged in and you’re good to go.

Q: QuestionWhat is the maximum storge/ssd it can be upgraded to?
Asked by Karla.
- A:Answer There really isn't a theoretical limit to the capacity of drive you can install. Right now, it's limited to the capacity of drives being made. I've seen m.2 SSD capacities as high as 8 terabytes.

Q: QuestionDoes this have an open memory slot? Or do you need to upgrade RAM in pairs?
Asked by Rick.
- A:Answer Hi Rick. Thank you for your question! This laptop has 2 memory slots occupied by 2x 8 GB 5200 MHz DDR5 SODIMM RAM Modules. Each slot will support a maximum of 16 GB RAM Modules (so you would be able to upgrade up to 32 GB Max). It is not required to upgrade memory in pairs, but is recommended, as it will give you better performance and allow you to run in dual channel mode. If you need help with your memory upgrade, Best Buy's Geek Squad will be able to help.

Q: QuestionWhat is the listed processing speed of this model?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The processor in this computer has a maximum speed of 4.9 GHz. You may also see it listed at 2.4 GHz. That's the processor's "base speed", which is like the idle speed of a car engine. The processor speeds itself up as needed.
