Customers are pleased with the OMEN 17.3" laptop's performance, especially its fast SSD and excellent graphics capabilities, making it ideal for gaming. The large screen size is also frequently praised, along with its relatively light weight for a 17-inch laptop. While some users noted the fan can be loud at times, the overall positive feedback highlights its value for the price.
Before I get too far into review, realize that this is used almost exclusively for World of Warcraft, with some HoTS thrown in now and then. Not battlefield or for honor or other games, so my thoughts on it are based from WoW alone. That being said, this is a beautiful laptop. The screen is incredibly crisp and vibrant. It IS a little heavy, but you're hopefully not considering a 17" laptop thinking it's going to be featherweight. Load times are almost non existent. My monthly pc health reports from Trendmicro show that the average time for my pc to turn on is 1 second, thanks to the ssd. In true HP fashion, it DOES run hot, and the fans run loud. I've never owned an HP that didn't have similar traits, they just seem to love making their laptops run hot. I still get 100+ fps on WoW, even with many many many add-ons running, while in raid on max graphics, and usually play with headphones on anyways so you don't notice the fan. The touchpad is awkwardly placed, and shouldn't even be on a gaming laptop. If you're buying this, you're using a mouse with it. The keyboard had very clean response. I can't comment on battery life, because, well, who actually games without being plugged in? I am not disappointed in this purchase at ALL, and would definitely recommend it. Just make sure you leave the cooling vent uncovered when playing.

processor speed , storage supported by solid state give faster info reading , much better performance. Can handle huge amount of info like nothing, best laptop on the market.Unfortunately HP is using very low low quality materials on the external body in their units lately, shame , that machine in a cardboard box

This is a good mid-range gaming and amateur video editing laptop. At this size and weight it's more of a portable desktop that can move from location to location but that's the way it's used so it's great. The specs are all good and it was a slam dunk buying decision when it went on sale. Pro's: Fast quad core I7 processor with hyper-threading. Fast and roomy 256GB SSD for quick application launch. 7200RPM 1TB spinning drive for mass storage at reasonable speeds. GTX 965M video card specs about the same as 960 desktop card. 17in screen and lots of available ports. 12GB memory out of the box Cons: Plastic body identical to Pavilion series in quality so - eh. Battery life ok at best (big screen eats it up). Lighted keyboard could be brighter. Already on clearance? Really? Trully, though, for the sale price you couldn't match it. Too bad HP is speccing down to a 1050 in the new version. It keeps about the same performance but that's kind of cheap in my opinion.
