Excellent Product
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI replaced a 6 year old Sony Vaio Desktop w/Windows XP, with this computer. I had delayed purchasing because of all the negatives (slow bootup, resource hog, etc.) that I had heard about concerning Windows Vista. When researching, I had looked at Apple/Mac and also going to a computer that I could configure with XP. In the end, after talking to a retired computer instructor who worked at my local BB store, I decided on this HP model. Being a senior citizen and only somewhat computer literate, I had BB do the Optimization/backup disc/installation of Trend Micro AV and Webroot Spysweeper, before taking delivery of the computer. It took me about 30 minutes to unpack the computer and monitor and hook everything up. The bootup time was the same as my Vaio w/XP. There are a lot of new features that I'm getting used to, plus a few changes in terminology from XP to Vista....not a big deal. Since I bought only the CPU, I opted to go with the Samsung 19" SyncMaster 932BW monitor (still debating on returning the 19" for the 22" Samsung for about $90 more). This was Plug and Play with the HP.....I didn't have to run the setup disc that came with the Samsung. This HP is a lot more quiet than my Sony....to the extent it's virtually silent. In all, I am very happy with this HP.

Great CPU
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI purchased this tower for my parents, along with a Samsung 19" monitor (932bw+). 1) The computer comes with just a few programs that I didn't need, so uninstalling them wasn't such a chore as with other manufacturers. 2) The triple core and hard drive size is great for music, movies, gaming and pictures. Real bang for the buck. 3) 15-in-1 media card reader is at the top of the tower on the front, which makes it nice for accessing them. 4) The power button is on the top of the case which is different but ok with me. 5) Keyboard and mouse are great and compliment the system very well. 6) All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better CPU from HP. The system is smooth, fast and can tackle many different programs running at the same time. Gamers might want to look for another video card, but for everyday computer users, this is a great system!

Fastest Computer Ever
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI recently purchased this computer a few weeks ago and it has worked great to date. I was concerned because triple-core's just came out. I can say it is the fastest computer I've ever owned. It downloads games in no time at all. I haven't had an opportunity to fully utilize all it has to offer, but I haven't had any problems so far. The only item I have issue with, is the on/off button is right on the top of the tower in the corner. I accidentally turned it off a few times when I moved it. It's just a matter of remembering that it is there.

Very impressed
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI just bought this last night and played with it for a while. Within 2 hours of owning it, I went back to Best Buy and bought a Nvidia 8800gtoc video card and another 19" lcd monitor haha. Now it's a formidable machine. Blasts through all my games at max resolution with no problems. Overall I'm very happy with this setup.

Gotta Love HP
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI bought this computer about a week ago. So far it's been great. Fast, quiet, Even running Vista, it boots up very quickly. This is my 4th HP including 1 desktop, 2 laptops. I have good luck. I gave the old desktop to the ex-wife a while back. It's still running well after 8 years. I also purchased an LG 19" monitor. (W1952TQ) It was between this LG and the Samsung. This one had a little bit better picture than the Samsung. They're very close. Overall, I'm pleased with both the HP and LG.

Excellent PC
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendExcellent desktop PC. Very fast and quiet. Price value is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. Vista is a pain. Lot's of stuff will not work and that was a big disappointment. Geek Squad at my store is excellent. Had difficulty with screen saver not coming on and HP help was not of any value. Geek Squad gave several options and it worked. I would recommend purchasing the extra coverage if the local store staff is as good as mine.

Better than expected
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI recently purchased this HP desktop and I am very please with it so far. I've always gone with HP and this one tops them all. I'm still getting use to manuvering around with Vista, but it's really not that bad. The thing that impresses me the most is the just how quiet the tower is, which is unlike my previous tower. I would highly recommend this particular HP.
