Great value, great computer; Windows 7 shines!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWell, I've been in need of a new home computer for a while. The last one was a Dell, had it for seven years and boy did it run well. It had 310 MB of memory, a 35GB hard drive, and an Intel Pentium 2.1 GHz processor. Yes, you can see where this is going. It was terrible. So, after two days of the launch of Windows 7, I finally picked up this new computer. Since I was used to such a dramatically slow computer, this one feels like heaven on Earth. What amazes me is the ease of setup and the small design. Plus Windows 7 is truly a great operating system. I can finally print wirelessly from my laptop without having a Wi-Fi printer. This computer has great specs for its fantastic price and it uses them well. It's fast and reliable and overall, some great bang for your buck. With all good comes bad. There's no built in wireless card. While I understand this is common in desktop computing, I had some compatibility problems with my network adapter and Windows 7 for the first week but now everything is going pretty smooth. Also, specifically my keyboard isn't even, so it wobbles a tiny bit when typing. And Intel GMA graphics aren't super, but they get the job done if you are just a basic home Internet and Word processing user. With those tiny flaws kept in mind, I'd still highly recommend this computer. It's meant to be your average middle-class little-bit-of-everything based computer with some high-class potential. HP reigns.

Great update from windows XP
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI had an old computer with windox xp for the longest time. It eventually crashed a few weeks ago and thank god at that time all the new computers with windows 7 came out into stores. I bought this computer mainly for school being a full time college student. I find when I am doing research or for fun, I can have serveral windows open without it going slow. I find the speed is pretty fast and I absotuly love windows 7. The features makes everything easy and if something were to go wrong, it basically fixes it for you. It starts up in a matter of 10 seconds or less. I love how there is a lot of RAM space and Hard Drive space. The keyboard that came with it has a nice smooth type although i find the mouse a little raw and loud. All in all I find this a very dependable computer. I even bought a printer which when i hooked it up..literary took a few mintues and i was printing out resarch in a flash.

Compact
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendSet was quick and easy. I chose this particular system because the sales professional (Windows Guru accoring to his shirt) took the time and compared different systems for me based on my needs. Some were faster than this, but speed was more applicable to gamers; which I am not. It seems to do all the minimal stuff I care about; Internet, DVD's, music, and some school work.

VERY SATISFIED
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI previously had an old Compaq ME for ten years. It finallly went out and I shopped around for a while. I found this HP Pavilion Slimline at Best Buy and for what I needed it for it sounded perfect without spending a ton of money. It was so easy to set up and I was excited to have Windows 7. WOW, what a difference that is ! I have had this new HP Pavilion for about 2 months and so far so good. I would highly recommend this for folks who just want a good home computer to do internet, emails, letters, etc. It is very fast and I am very satisfied at this point. I did have Microsoft Office installed on it as well. I love everything !

Impressed So Far!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendOverall I am impressed with this computer. For the money, it is a good computer. The only thing that I don't like is when it hangs up. I always have to reboot it. I love the lightscripte technology. I haven't had any trouble downloading or installing software.

THANKS TO THE GREAT REVIEW i PURCHASED THIS
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI read the reviews on this tower and am glad I did. I have to agree with what was written. The set up was easy and actually did only take a few minutes and I was up and running. I have been using this for about 3 weeks now. I just had to scan something in and it was a lot easier to do then on my old computer. The only problem I had was getting used to Windows 7. It is a little bit different, however now I am used to it and love Windows 7 too. I have nothing bad to say. The speed is great and game play is quick.

Excellent computer, Excellent buy.
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI needed a new computer for my "everyday" use. Word, pictures, some office work for my job, internet etc. This machine was NOT purchased for gaming, TV, or high end stuff. Right out of the box it was quick and fast. It has excellent memory and RAM for what In need. Its great on the internet, quick to boot up and turn off. All around im VERY happy. Its a great computer if you need an all around "houshold" machine. I love it!
