We ordered this laptop from Best Buy for our daughter to replace an older HP laptop to support her college class work. My daughter loves this laptop because of its lite weight, and the ease of use as a laptop or a touch screen tablet. This particular laptop had just the right amount of memory and storage capability for her work needs, and easily fits in her back pack book bag. The only down side for me is this is a sealed case, with the inability to do user upgrades to memory or hard drive in the future, but this is the case with most new Laptop computers on the market today. Other than this, the laptop has performed exceedingly well.

Excellent computer for the cost. the fact you can flip it into any position to draw or type as a tablet is extremely covenient. the i5 processor is very fast. As all HP computers very Practical and dependable.

Nice clear full 1080 screen, good performance, and a 14" screen that we prefer when we need to put it in a backpack for traveling and the lighter weight and more convenient size while sitting on the sofa. The fingerprint reader is nice and convenient. We got this just before they were sold out. Unfortunately we had a little bad luck with a defective LED in the lower right corner of the display backlight going out after 12 days, hence 1 star knocked off - but were so happy with it overall that we exchanged it for the newer 2020 equivalent, the HP 14M-DW0023DX which turned out to be on sale - so the good luck was getting an updated version at a better price. There was one design nuisance with this model. The power button is on the side right where you're likely to push it when picking up the unit causing , which we'd done several times. The newer model moves the power button to the upper right of the keyboard. MUCH better. Except for the power button and a couple of logo changes, the two look identical. It appears to be end-of-lifed - but I'd recommend this unit if you find it at a great price - maybe out-of-box or refurbished. If looking for new, I recommend getting the later version.
