Best I could find
Posted .I first bought a Canon MP250 from walmart at $32. I thought to be a good deal, then I saw the ink prices and decided to return it. I then bought an HP F4480 but noticed that it did not include the USB cable, I got it for $49 and the cable would cost another $15 at least, so instead I looked at the options in Best Buy. I saw that this printer had not only USB cable but was wireless. In a house with only laptops, this was dream come true. The price $69 vs $64 for the F4480 w/cable, seemed like the way to go. I have to recognize that reeding the reviews I was affraid of purchasing this printer as I did not want to end up with a wireless printer that the wireless feature did not work. I read most not all of the reviews and saw that there were many talking bad about the installation/setup process and wireless not working. I also red two that were decisive in my choice as they mentioned that if you follow the instructions in detail you would not have any problem. So I did, I bought the printer (thinking if it does not work, at least I checked it for myself, after all, Best by you can return if not satisfied within 30 days). I was surprised, the installation was easier than getting in, to add this review. I Printed a picture of my daughter in the setup, Absolutley Impressed!! It comes with some photo paper!! Quality is great, features are awesome, wireless works excellent and the prices I saw on the inks were not bad. Summary is that I would absolutley recommend this printer, just follow the instructions in detail.

College kid in need of High Volume Printer
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is where I come from... My previous printer was a LEXMARK (Major Ink sucker), but I had it since Junior year of high school. I'm in my 6th and final year of college. So you can count the years for yourself. I figured it was time for an upgrade since ink was getting pricey and it started choking up on me. I bought this one over an internal debate on price and research. I heard good things about HP. I decided to take my chances. I like this printer. The speed is amazing, shoots paper out as if it was spitting them at me. Ha! However, it can choke up from time to time, especially when I'm printing 22 page reports and documents. So, I recommend printing in increments of 5 at a time. I found this annoying, but acceptable, since the fancy laser printers on campus do the same thing as well. SO to be on the safe side, since I'm on a budget and refuse to waste ink and paper I've gotten in a habit of printing 5 pages at a time. I recommend having the mouse near by, when this printer chokes up, it will start printing from page ONE all over again. That's how it can waste paper and ink, due to me having half the documented printed before it choked up, I learned to cancel printing immediately and just adjust the printing segment when I tried again. I love the design, it's real calm and sophisticated for a college kid, fits my room perfectly. I haven't tried the memory card inputs, I keep forgetting its existence, but maybe one day I will. The software features are pretty nice. Scanning features are pretty awesome as well. Just have to mess with the setting a bit to get it to place the file where you want. I like my files sent to my desktop; gives me the option to put different scans in different places vs. constantly changing the settings. Can set your ink settings to a specific preference. For example, mine is on DRAFT, PORTRAIT, BLACK and WHITE ONLY; it prints in this preference automatically every time. If I want to print in color, I make a few adjustments to that documents print setting, then on the next document it will automatically print in my preference setting. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS FEATURE, my lexmark didn't do that! Either way, very good printer. The ink isn't as pricey as the Lexmark so my utility for this printer has increased, but that varies from person to person. So, in summary, I'm a college kid that prints a load of stuff. Needs speed, accuracy, and efficiency, on a budget. This printer has met those expectations. Of course, HP could always aim to excel above and beyond my expectations on future models *hint hint* =P

A Good Buy...
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendFor one thing I have read a lot of reviews and it seems that this printer is very "polarizing" when it comes to overall satisfaction. However, in an honest opinion, for $69.99, this is a great printer. The features are good (scanner, wireless, lcd screen, nifty design) but the set up process can be a bit confusing for mac osX (with latest updates). I would suggest looking at the set up guide on the cd and actually paying attention, this is not a printer that you can just plug in and expect it to work right away. Be sure that the wireless is enabled on the actual printer itself and you should be able to install with no problem (on initial startup the wireless is off, use lcd menus to turn it on). There is a sticker-cover-thing on the lcd screen and if you are not careful it will leave a sticky residue. Be careful of removing the residue because you can scratch the screen. This printer does make quite a noise, but thats expected in a inkjet and all those reviews about the noise are just ridiculous. When it is functional the actual printing takes a while and the printer almost seems to stall in the middle of printing. Its like its trying to think of its next move. Nevertheless, this printer gets the job done and it looks quite nice. All the reviews that make it look bad I can understand in the most part, but if you actually took the time to read the manual and pay attention to the cd's installer and new a little bit about your wireless network then all should be fine. The installer takes care of most of it. It prints clean and sharp and for the price, its a good buy at Bestbuy.

Good for $70 -- but not $100
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendBought this for $69 a few days ago to replace a Samsung color laser that was constantly having paper tray issues, a Canon scanner and a Canon photo printer. Wanted one device to do it all and be wireless. Are people really having so many issues with this? If you follow the directions precisely, this works great over WiFi after an initial setup with a USB connection. Now all four of my laptops can share this printer, which is not connected to anything except a power outlet, and it's hidden in an armoire be to out of sight. Works wonderfully over wireless and the photos are amazing for a non-photo (dye sublimation) printer. Scanner works awesome too. Very nice software (just don't install all the bloatware -- just the drivers and HP Solution Center). Very happy for $70. Caution: those friggin' stickers from the factory are very hard to get off without leaving irritating residue everywhere. Be careful! Had to return my first printer for a replacement since the sticker residue was impossible to get off the unit and basically smudged up the entire LCD display. Used wirelessly with a D0Link DIR-615 wireless-n router, and no issues at all.

Excellent printer for the price!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendEasy installation - both standard and wireless. Printer, connected to a PC, was quickly picked up on wireless network (using a Linksys router) by two laptops. Photo printing is quick and easy with great results. Scanning and copying is simple with installed software. Print speed is adequate for every day printing needs in the home (not ideal for business environments). The only drawback I see with this printer is that it can only hold a limited amount of paper and the way the paper is ejected after printing -- if you forget to pull out the paper stop, the paper ends up on the floor. I like this printer so much, I bought a second one for a college student. Recommend!

Awesome Print Quality
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis Printer Is A great printer .It prints Flawless pictures great price and very light compared to my beast of a HP 2710 All in one . That HP Printer is still going and I had it for seven years plus.Thats why I stick with HP Printers! This printer matches up in every way but uses way less ink, and its WIFI is great .Also My Brother N Law Used His New Apple I phone and just printed off of his phone, Now that's Cool About the WiFi!! Cons: The Set up on this Printer is a little longer and confusing because of the WiFi and when your using more than one computer sometimes the computer reads printer off line and some times it is a pain because when you print pages and it reads that signal offline it can come on when ever it feels and papers will fly every where any time !! lol , so be sure if it does not print, just wait restart your computer and it will print once the WiFi signal connects.

Happy so far
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWe just bought and set up this printer today, so keep that in mind. We returned the Kodak ESP 7 (for which I wrote a scathing review) and exchanged it for this less expensive, but far superior HP. The set-up was easy, connecting to wireless was easy, the printer is quiet and smooth, and the parts feel pretty solid (as opposed to the cheap, flimsy quality of plastic we noticed on many of the printers we looked at today). When comparing the print quality to that of the Kodak we returned, we noticed far superior color - a marked difference that even my untrained eye could see right away. This printer even offers options for what type of paper you are using - in our case, invitations on matte cardstock (yes, that's an option). So far we are very impressed with this printer. After we've had it for a significant period of time, I will come back and update this review.

Very Happy
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI spent two days reading reviews. My choice came down to this printer or the photosmart plus. I chose this because I got it 50 dollars cheaper, and the ink replacement was cheaper (hopefully... we will see in the next few weeks). I'm very pleased with my choice. It set up easily and all the features seem to be great! There are no instructions for using the features of the photo printing. It took a couple wasted photos, but I figured it out easily, not a big deal. I scanned a photo from 1961, that wasn't in top shape, and it printed beautifully. I was confused whether to buy a 2 ink or several ink system. I understand the more inks, the better the photo quality, but I have no complaints so far. The copy function is perfect, the copy is as clear as the original. It is a great printer for the money...Very Happy!!
