I purchased this for a light use, home printer. I use an HP 5225 color laser at work and before that, a 3600 and have had an overall good experience with the HP line (in spite of squirrely drivers). I'm not an HP fanboy, but because of my past use of them did give them consideration. I've run the gamut: Brother, Lexmark, Canon, Epson, Okidata, and also used a bunch of inkjet and dye sub for color work. I decided on laser because I print maybe a dozen sheets a month from home (compared to a short booklet run I just did at work of 45 booklets, each of 105 pages duplexed). I didn't want ink because of cost and the hassle of maintenance of clogged nozzles due to lack of use and therefore laser was the logical choice. I needed color and this one came out on top because of the built-in networking, duplexing, airprint support and some other factors I now forget. So this printer was a refurb and dirt cheap so I bought two. One for my dearly beloved also, who has a separate PC and mostly prints boarding passes and such. It arrived in good condition and, honestly, you'd be hard pressed to see how either one of these was a refurbished unit. I was packed completely as new, with new documentation and driver disc. I'm running Win7x and like it that way because newer versions of Windows don't support my Canon camera, which I shoot tethered with Lightroom. I don't know about driver support for newer builds but assume it's there. So this was practically a plug and play install. I set up the printer, plugged it in and went to the touchscreen (which is a good one of decent size, by the way) and went through the wireless setup. No issues: it found my home network, connected and I printed a test page. It does have a fairly long warm-up time from sleep mode but once up and running it prints quickly and cleanly. The text quality at low point size is excellent even on cheap copier bond and the color is quite good. The toner cartridges should last about 1200 pages at average print density, which means that I'll probably change them once every 3 years :-)

I know longer keep up with new technology so was delighted with the features of this small laser printer. I had never tried printing from my phone but found it easy to do the nfc printing. My router was preventing the printer from connecting each time when I turned it on but I found the solution to that. I enjoy the single sheet page feed slot for pictures. special paper, and envelopes. The price made this especially attractive as it was less than the cost of the toners and came with full toners installed. I get good clear prints and auto duplex printing makes this a very useful part of my home office. All in all , I am very satisfied with this purchase.
