Great 2 in 1
||Posted .Best looking copper & black,16 GB Ram, i7, 512 SSD, upgraded to Windows 10 Pro, and bought a Samsung SSD external hard drive to keep my extra files on which operates extremely fast . Great for keeping Music and Movies on for fast retrieval with no delays. Touch screen works better with a Dell Active Stylus than HP's. The HP black and copper mouse works well as the HDMI port for a monitor.

HP Spectre 360 Convertible-i7 16GB RAM 512 GB SSD
||Posted .After extensive search, I found that Best Buy offered the best price that included free delivery. The item was delivered very promptly in a well packaged condition. The convertible had the specs I wanted and it works like a charm. Best Buy also offered a protection software, but I did not download as I get complete protection from my work place. Purchasing the laptop at Best Buy was the best part of the whole process.

Don't buy this laptop
||Posted .I am facing the problems with this laptop from the day, I started using it. I don't recommend this laptop as an option to buy. If you are buying this laptop, that means you are looking for a high end laptop. Forget about the high end part, It's not even doing it's basic job correctly. I usually don't write reviews on a product unless it is too worst product. I spent my hard earned money of nearly $1100. This amount is too much for my budget, but I tried to manage it somehow. I couldn't control my frustration. I have only one thing to say friends, DON'T BUY THIS LAPTOP. The problem, I am facing is a square (sometimes circle) box that flickers on the screen continuously. It comes all of a sudden. Once this happens, It doesn't let me do anything on the laptop until I force restart by pressing the power button. I am not sure whether it is hard ware or software issue. Even the hp customer support doesn't have any clue about it. I tried to upload a video as well to give clear picture about my issue, but bestbuy review process is not letting me upload any other file except a jpg.

So much to love...
||Posted .As an ex-Macbook owner, it was a leap of faith for me to switch to a PC. After researching almost all of my PC options, this HP Spectre x360 was the only laptop that, for lack of a better phrase, turned me on like the macs do. As my title says, there is so much to love about this laptop. First, it looks great; it's thin, sharp, and well-constructed. The i7 processor is fast and powerful. The backlit keyboard makes typing a breeze, and I love the touch screen and 360 flip capability. The battery life is outstanding, and it even has a "battery saver" mode. The stereo speakers have been tuned by Bang & Olufsen and sound very good, even when listing to classical music. Lastly, this computer possess most of the standard ports (i.e USB, HDMI, Mini Display), which is something Apple cannot boast about their newest Macbook lineup. There are a few things that bug me. First, the scroll pad is less responsive and more fidgety than the Macs are. The 'right' click takes some time to get used to. In general, learning Windows 10 is taking some time, but I feel like I'm getting the hang of it. One thing I will miss about having a Mac is that when I forgot my charger, there was usually someone near by who I could borrow from. I just better be more conscientious about battery life/charging with this HP. Overall, I really like this laptop and would recommend it to anyone, especially if you're looking for a Macbook-like PC. Q: QuestionThe color is "ash silver" but some say ash copper or ash bronze or black/gold. I thought the Spectre series of computers has only 2 colors: ash silver and silver. How would describe the color the shiny metallic bits on this ash silver model?
Asked by Arby.
- A:Answer There are 2 finishes to the Spectre x360. One is called Natural Silver which is what regular silver looks like. The other color is Ash Silver/Copper. The Ash Silver/Copper model is the one that looks dark brown with a copper colored metal finish. I hope this helps.

Q: QuestionIs there any way to get this laptop with Windows 10 Pro vs. Home, or do I just need to upgrade to Pro when I get the computer?
Asked by maddog.
- A:Answer Be sure to uninstall McAfee as it will not allow the upgrade. I spent 16hrs with Microsoft and HP support, they had me do a clean install which killed the touch screen and I had to return the unit and order another one.

Q: QuestionIs there any difference between this model and the ash silver model 13-4195dx
Asked by Joe.
- A:Answer Joe, There is a HUGE difference! The one you're looking at has only 8GB memory compared to the 16GBs, & 256 GB SSD compared to 512 GB. For another $150, you could get double the memory and speed. Also note that, if you'd like, you have a color choice between ash silver and ash gold. But note that if you choose the ash gold color, it will need to be ordered through Best Buy --- mine only took less than a week to come in, and I am truly happy with my purchase. I hope this helps! Best wishes!

Q: QuestionFinally! so glad i seen this before i bought!!! when can i get it? i've asked everywhere.
Asked by Jordan.
- A:Answer purchased mine on 9/28/16 at HP website with consultation from HP on phone. They were very helpful and saved me $250 due to it being on sale, this was something I knew nothing about. I also purchased 3 ye extended warranty after research. Their warranty is less expensive than BB and covers accidental damage and tech support.

Q: QuestionIn HP's website, there is no option to configure the spectre x360 with NVMe. Does this device really come with NVMe harddrive?
Asked by vrajanap.
- A:Answer Good question. Yes, this laptop does have an NVMe SSD. There are various models of this laptop so not all retailers will have the same configurations. I hope this helps.

Q: QuestionWill any current user let me know what the real-world battery life of the product is? (Web-surfing+Microsoft Office Use)
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hey, We recently bought this laptop and we noticed that the battery stays good for 5+ hours. This I believe is when we use the laptop for light to medium applications. When I use some SW applications which are CPU and memory heavy especially related to big data analytics, youtube videos etc. the battery stays good for < 3 hours. But I think it's really a decent battery. I had used other laptops from other vendors where the battery does not hold charge for that long. For now I am really happy with this laptop as it's light weight but extremely powerful.

Q: QuestionHow does the HP Spectre compare to the MacBook Air by Apple in memory, speed and power?
Asked by KKBTSG.
- A:Answer I just returned the imac pro with Retina display. There is simply no comparison to the Spectre 360. The imac is seriously underpowered and is much slower than the HP. The imac has less memory and is more money than the HP. These are just a few of the differences.

Q: QuestionCan an external display be connected to this device?
Asked by PES949.
- A:Answer Yep, I have a 34" LG 21x9 aspect ratio QHD display hooked up to it and it runs both the external and the Spectre display with no problems.
