Great upgrade from an Evo 4g
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI've had the past two versions of the Evo line, so I figured why stop? I had the Evo 4g for two years and by the last 9 months, I was hating it. It was slow, unresponsive, and the battery always got hot. I actually considered going to an S4 or the LG G2 because of my past HTC experience, but after comparing the three and reading early reviews. I decided to stick with HTC and upgrade to this. Likes - Performance is fast and the display is responsive. Camera is good and I am liking the different effects, especially the ufocus. Shutter speed is amazing and there is no shutter sound when I take pictures!!! Battery life is a lot better than the Evo 4g. I'm not a heavy user, but use it to text, email, and surf (< 1 hour a day) and it will give me about 60-70% by 5pm Speakers. The front facing speakers sound great compared to other phone speakers, but nothing that will blow you away. Dislikes - I seriously don't like having wake up to Google Now instead of the home screen. I disabled it, but it still wont bypass it. Size. It's just a tad bit too big for my taste, even though I have gotten used to it. I've bought a bunch of cases on Amazon and almost all of them add too much bulk and size to the phone to fit in your pocket. I returned 4 of them already and lost money because of shipping. I finally went to BB and got the Speck case, but it was absurdly expensive. Luckily they price match, but even so. It cost $25. Sprint Network. This is a big issue. The phone tends to want to look for a wifi signal and it takes a while for it to notice that it can't get on, so it loses signal going from wifi to 3g/LTE. I'm hoping that Sprint gets their act together, because I'm stuck with them for another 2 years. Overall this is a great phone. I just hope it doesn't start to get sluggish after a year, like my Evo and Evo 4g did.

AWESOME Sound and EXCELLENT connectivity
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThere are many reviews out there already, so I will focus on the main reason I bought this phone: CALL QUALITY. I use my phone for work, so it is imperative that people hear me clearly and that I hear them clearly. I did quite a bit of research online and in person and found the call quality for this phone is superior to that of Samsung, Apple, of LG. That consideration was the number one reason I purchased it. I have not been disappointed. In places where my old Galaxy S3 would drop calls the HTC stays connected like a champ. It is beautifully designed, the interface is intuitive, the screen is gorgeous, and the speakers are load enough to listen to music on in your room. I'm not into selfies, but if you are the front camera combined with picture editing tools make this phone a selfie takers Mecca. The battery life is OK, so the only real drawback is the rear camera. It takes beautiful pictures, but since it is only four megapixels you can't zoom in and expect to get good shots.

HTC's Awesome!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI've owned many phones (Samsung, HTC, iPhone) and HTC seems to have the best thing out there! I have 2 of the M8 models - Gunmetal and Gold. The Gold is my fav. So here's what I know about this phone: - I have large hands for a female but I still need two hands to text. - The device is sleek, smooth and beautiful, BUT will slip right out of your hands because of the shape. I hated to cover up the phone, but if I didn't I wouldn't have one. I suggest a thin textured phone. - The camera is not quite as sharp as the Samsung S3,4 or 5, but it's still quite nice. - The Zoe app is annoying, so I disabled. - The speakers on this thing are AWESOME - The headphone jack is on the bottom instead of the top, so whenever I run with it in my armband, I have to turn it upside down. - There is no removable battery. - I'm a power user, and the battery has both a "SAVER" and and "EXT SAVER" mode that allows your to control how much juice you're using which is very nice. I keep the battery on "Saver" throughout the day and at bedtime, I'm usually around 38%. In the event that my battery gets low and I'm not near a charger, I simply switch to the "EXT SAVER" mode and am safe until I can get some power. All and all a great phone, hoping that the next iteration of this phone will improve the camera and battery even more!

HTC has outdone themselves!
Posted .This sleek and durable phone is beautiful inside and out! The display is bright and clear, even outside. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor is super fast, and even though the back cameras could be better, it still takes a great picture and vivid HD 1080 video. The front wide-angle camera is perfect! Oh, and I love the front facing speakers!! (No more cupping my hand at the back speaker to hear!!) The sound is amazing for such small speakers!! I had music playing through it on my desk at work, and co-workers were shocked to realize it was coming from my phone! Now when using it as a GPS in the car, I can hear the driving instructions very clearly. I'm so impressed with it, and I know I'm forgetting tons to share with you why you NEED to have this phone, but with the 14 day exchange policy, this is a MUST TRY at least! I'm sure you'll keep it and be glad you did. I don't really care for the BlinkFeed, but I guess I need to get used to it. For now, I have turned that off. The HTC M8 does all I want it to and MORE! This is my all-time most favorite cell phone!! I am very pleased with the size and it is actually very comfortable to use and reach the buttons, etc. No complaints of the phone being too large at all. I LOVE IT!

Unbeatable Build Quality and a Screen Size
Posted .So it's been about 3 weeks that I have had my HTC One Max, Which I got from a giveaway at a #HTCElevate Meet Up. Hosted by the great Jason Dunn . So I just wanted to share my thoughts on the device. Previously coming from the Phone Of The Year the HTC One, which had everything I wanted in a phone only thing that had been missing was a larger screen coming from the HTC Evo LTE the HTC One didn't add anything in the screen size department but the higher resolution screen was a big difference. Keep in mind the Samsung Galaxy Note line had been calling my name for quite some time because of the screen size. So when the One Max was announced I knew I had to have it. HTC took everything that was great from the HTC One and added to it with the addition of 5.9 screen size, not 100% on this but slightly bigger and louder speakers, the loss of beats audio isnt a bummer as I'm a fan of hip hop so the added bass was great for me but the speakers on the Max do not disappoint, the loss in beats audio is made up with a huge battery and addition of a Micro SD Card slot. The battery life on the HTC One Max is crazy good the One got me through almost a good portion of the day but with the Max I'm not worried about rushing home to find a charger towards the end of the night. Sense 5.5 also adds a few enhancements over sense 5. Improved BlinkFeed added sources and better control over what you see on your feed. I believe the TV app also received some enhancements, but I had a Xbox One since Nov 22nd so I haven't used the Sense TV app because the Xbox handles all my tv needs. The only thing that was lacking in on the One Max was lack of software to support the added screen size. Sense is such a great and beautiful Skin for Android so as to why they couldn't have used there knowledge and expertise to make software designed for the added screen space beats me, maybe a lack of time or something. Hopefully if they make a HTC One Max successors then it will add that to the list of things that needs to be added. They did however add a app called Scribble which proves they can make great software for a larger screen device. To sum this up I just wanna state if you are in the market for a larger screen device for media consumption, work, or gaming or just to have a large screen and prefer outstanding build quality and premium materials, with battery life to get you through a full day. Then rest assure you can get the HTC One Max and be completely satisfied.

Great functionality
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have had this phone for over a month now. I upgraded from the HTC LTE 4G. Totally worth it! The two speakers alone make this phone awesome. The sound fills the room. The functionality is great and easy to use. I haven't had any connectivity issues to WiFi or 4G. Pages load quickly and smoothly. The keyboard is larger which makes it easier to type. There are a bunch of emoticons pre-loaded for the keyboard. Game play is better than ever. I can load games quickly and easily. My only negative is that sometimes I have difficulty hearing the other person while speaking on the phone. I haven't determined if it is simply the connection or the other person's device. It isn't a deal breaker as it is not a consistent issue. This is a great phone!

Fantastic device
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAfter much research I decided on the HTC one m8 over the m9. The phone is the best I have purchased in the last 15.years. The screen is perfectly sized and the boom sound speakers sound incredibly crisp. The HTC sense feature makes the use of the phone completely intuitive. Overall I am very pleased with this device and I would recommend it to anyone.
Q: QuestionHow much would the phone be if I just want with no contract/activation?I want to use the phone as an iPod
Asked by Stacks101.
- A:Answer Look under the unlocked phones section for one to be used as an ipod. They're pretty pricy for that use. 800-900 I believe. I think I added a recommended product. That's the unlocked version of this phone, so it can be used only on wifi.

Q: Questionif i buy a no contract sprint phone, will it be unlocked and can i use it with any other service? and is this a CDMA or GSM phone?i would like too purchase a no contract phone and use it across the world as i travel frequently and if the frequency permits can i change the sim and use the same phone in different countries? And is the phone CDMA or GSM.?? im looking for a GSM phone, as all the sim's i have of different countries are GSM sim's.
Asked by Rockstar.
- A:Answer It will be locked for Sprint only activation. It is a multiband phone and will work on both CDMA and GSM. If you are travelling a lot, your best bet will be to buy an unlocked HTC One m9 directly from HTC.

This question was asked about the related product: HTC - One max 4G LTE Cell Phone with 32GB Memory - Glacial SilverQ: QuestionCan I buy this phone and bring it to my TING account? Not asking if TING will accommodate, just asking if this is a SPRINT no contract phone - can I buy the phone and activate it myself or do I need to purchase a contract with you?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It's a Sprint no contract phone, but Sprint has special rules that require it to be activated for 12 months before it can be brought over to a MVNO carrier like Ting. So no, you can't bring it to your Ting account until it's been activated on Sprint's network for 12 months.
