My daughter loves it but it’s expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought when I bought the better headset than that would be it ... NoPE! Apparently we needed to buy a $800 graphics card two $150 base stations and a wireless adapter among other things just for her to play it . So if u are considering this for your kid don’t donit . Lol I’m $2500 deep in this headset and she said she still needs more crap for it .

Great quality, yet expensive
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good quality VR experience, however with the base stations being required, it is a bit of an ordeal setting it all up and breaking it down so you don't always have wires everywhere in between uses. I use it mostly with my racing simulator and when its all setup it is the most immersive racing experience you can have without the smells of an actual racecar.

Great VR Headset
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been a Vive VR user for a while now and decided to upgrade to the Pro version. The light trackers and controllers are all compatible. Still get a little screen door effect but visual quality is much better. When you add the wireless adapter, its a great PC VR next to the Index.

Great VR experience
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Flight sims and racing games are by far my favorite thing to do in VR. Having the necessary accessories (joystick, steering wheel, etc) really helps the experience too.

Comfortable headset
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality headset but not inexpensive. By the time I purchased all the needed equipment for this set, it was close to 1600$. Not for those on a budget!!

Sold HMD for VR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the Vive Pro was easy to setup and use. I purchase the headset only and purchased the controllers and base station separately. So there was a little more work involved. I would recommend purchasing the full kit if you can. That way you will get everything you need to get up and running fast.

Q: QuestionWhat does HMD only mean? Is an Imax experience available such as maybe a tour of notttingham castle , the vatican, israel or a float thru venice or the rhine .How do we obtain viewing material for the headset?
Asked by mam.
- A:Answer HMD stands for "Headset Mounted Display". I did a quick search for the above location, and found a few of the location on the web. For content you find on the web, you will need to use Firefox as your browser if you wont to view content on an Vive or Vive Pro HMD. I did not find anything on the VIVEPORT site or the Steam site that can provide content. However I use Google Earth VR which is available from the VIVEPORT site and it is free. It has a lot of tours and you can go anywhere on earth and view the area in full 360 VR. I have used it to travel the world. If you are creating your own content in 360 VR, then you will need to use GoPro's "GoPro VR Player" to view your content in your HMD. Their is a very large demand for good 360 VR content. I expect you will see more and more content being provided as this tech improves and costs come down. Kind Regards, rob hanson

Q: QuestionSo do you have to get the sensors and controllers,or do they come with that?
Asked by Tegan.
- A:Answer If you are looking to purchasing just the HDM only, then yes you will need to buy both sensors and controllers. You will need two sensors if you wont it to work will and one controller will work. Note most content will play better with two controls. It is more cost effective to purchase a complete VR kit if you can. The current VIVE kit is a 2nd gen. If you purchase sensors and controls separately they are most likely going to be 1st gen. Also finding the sensors and controls online and be an issues. The tent to be out of stock a lot. Lastly, if you purchase Sensors and controller separately you will need to update the firmware which is not hard, but can have issues. I have found VIVE support to really good.
