As a person who uses ceiling fans on a daily basis I can tell you that this fan is very expensive and much more than I really wanted to spend but when I went to the store this was the only one available and I needed one that day. This fan is larger than I wanted with all these extra lights that I don't need. So I unscrew some of the bulbs and only keep one on. After installing it the vibration is quite heavy on high-speed and therefore I must use it on the next speed down. I really like to have a fan on high! The so-called weights that are offered to put on the paddles are nothing but 1" x 1" squares that are stick on pieces and do not appear to have any weight to them whatsoever. I have been meaning to figure out how I can attach some better weights so that I'll be able to use it on high without fear of it rattling off the ceiling and falling on top of me when I'm in bed!
