The Ice shell was thin but sticky and hard to add ice to it. It eventually ended up ripping.

Hyperice usually makes pretty good stuff, NOT this. This is expensive junk. I have a few of their massage guns and they're nice, but this stinks. Over time the rubber ice bag deteriorates, gets brittle, fuses together and when you try to pull it apart, it just tears making it useless. I reached out to Hyperice, but basically got told to go pound sand. It has a 1 year warranty and I had mine shy of two years. They offered a discounted replacement bag, but it's normally $50 just for the bag and the discounted one was $40. $40 for a chinsy rubber bag? Get out of here. I ended up just using one of those blue reusable Mueller ice bags that are like $9 and had a couple laying around from years ago that still worked fine. Put that on your knee and wrap the neoprene around that and works just as good.

I thought it was a little pricey at first but once I used it thought it was well worth it. The way that it hugs your knee with the ice in place is unmatched.
