Awesome headset for Xbox Series X!
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I researched ALOT of different brands of headsets for my new Xbox Series X, and this one seemed to be extremely well rated, with expert review sites indicating it was the best sounding headset for the price...so when this was on sale, it was a no brainer to try this one out. Fit and Feel - First thing i have to say, is that the materials and construction feel really great. The detachable mic and detachable audio cables are thick, braided and feel sturdy . The earcups are EXTREMELY comfortable. I have a slightly bigger (wider) head, and these did not produce "pressure" om my head. They felt great right away, and after 4 hours of wearing them, i couldn't even feel they were on my head...that is comfort! The padding is great and the headband construction is aluminum with additional cushioning and it feels great. Sound - IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! Some people indicated that the sound on these is very low, almost at a whisper level when you plug it into the xbox controller and were disappointed, even when they turned up the in-game volume in COD all the way up. The Xbox Series X has a SEPARATE headphone volume control menu that needs to be turned UP! (See my pictures in this review) This is DIFFERENT from the General Audio settings in the regular Settings Menu. When you are in a game or even on the xbox home screen, if you press the round Xbox Home button (that pops up the xbox home quick screen), at the very bottom right of the menu is a sound icon...if you go to that, the audio menu pops up for headphones. Xbox has this at 50% by default, and if you turn it up, BOOM! These headphones are LOUD, and then you can use the inline audio wheel to lower it or adjust to your desire, or use in-game sound menu controls after that. It is something that can EASILY be missed, and apparently has been, by all of the reviews i read about these being really quiet on Xbox and people returned them....when I first plugged these in, the sound was low and i was disheartened because i through the reviews were correct about these being quiet on the xbox, but then i found the separate headphone menu and WOW. I feel sorry for people that didn't realize the Xbox has a separate headphone sound menu because they missed out on fantastic headphones! The microphone sounds great also, because my buddies all said they could hear me loud and clear the entire time. Again, use the headphones menu to turn up the volume for the microphone as well if it seems low, and then use specific in-game menus for tweaks and you are all set! The sound coming through these is fantastic on the Xbox Series X. I used these for COD Black Ops and you can hear bullets whizzing past your head, and footsteps of other players getting louder or fainter as they run near you, and you can hear the direction they are coming from! I enabled the Windows Sonic on the Xbox Series X for the headphones and it produces a really good surround sound. I will test this setting for about a month before i switch to the Dolby Atmos setting, since I want to make sure I let my ears and senses get used to the surround sound, and then i'll be able to compare if Atmos is that much better on these headphones or if Windows Sonic will suffice, since it's free and you have to pay for a one-time license for Dolby Atmos to activate it on Xbox. I am EXTREMELY happy with these headphones, granted i've only used them for one day so far. But the sound, clarity and comfort are all top notch on these and they didn't break the bank. If you can get these on sale, you can't find a better bang for the buck!

Great headsetf for gamers!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I bought this Hyper-X wired gaming headset because it has a replaceable charging wire. The problem with these wires is they tangle very easily and eventually break. This is a great headset and when the wire does tangle a new replacement wire can be purchased very inexpensively. That is so much better than replacing the great headset at least twice per year.

Hyper X headset

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I personally really enjoy this headset, & I don’t regret buying them. It fits perfectly on my ears and are super comfortable! The only downside is that from time to time, the mic would cut out & others can’t hear me, I’m not exactly sure if I plugged them in wrong or not, but overall, then headset is amazing!

A major problem for them to 100% work
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5First off, these headphones are really great. The sound is beyond excellent. However. I bought these for my Switch as it is advertised for it. When you plug them in directly, sound and mic work fine. But, if you use the extension that comes with it, the mic will not work. The reason is the extension only has 2 rings on it and 3 rings are needed for the mic to work. I will gladly change this to 5 stars if Best Buy or Hyperx will refund me 10 bucks for my Amazon bill and hassle. Ball is in your court. I would highly reccomend these if they could fix this problem.

Cannot say enough about this headset.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5For all PC Peripherals, I'm a Logitech geek. At the time of this purchase, I owned Logitech speakers, the G Pro X headset, the G413 carbon keyboard, the C920 Webcam, and the G Pro Wireless mouse. I love me some Logitech. Then, my G Pro X headset stopped working on one side, making the use of it miserable after only 3.5 months of owning it. I replaced it with this and my goodness, for $100, there is no better all around headset. I need to hear people's footsteps in PvP in FPS games and I want to be heard and this is a steal even at full retail price. I still have my Cloud Pro that I used initially on XBOX One that I bought 4-5 years ago and it's still kicking, but I took that one to work. This is now my primary gaming headset and for my huge head and long gaming sessions, there's no better $ value out than this specific headset. Didn't hurt that my entire setup is black and red, too. Thank you HyperX, you've forever stolen a customer from Logitech on headsets.

HyperX Cloud Alpha great for business and gaming!

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Excellent sound quality, good reproduction of sound throughout the spectrum with decent bass.I bought this headset for doing online calls for work. I wanted a wired over the ear headphone because I'm an audiophile and want a rich sound experience when I listen to music but I also spend a lot of time on Goto Meeting and Zoom calls during the work day so I needed something that was comfortable. The frame of the headset is aluminum, so it is strong but lightweight. The headset came with an extension cord that serves as a dual-plug adapter that you can plug into separate headphone and microphone jacks in case your machine doesn't support a single all-in-one jack. With the cord that is attached to the headphones and the extension that was included, I had plenty of cable to work with to route the cables neatly and still have plenty with which to work. There was even a little travel bag included in case you need to take your headphones on the road.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I highly recommend this product, especially around the holidays whenever it is on sale. Sound and performance are spectacular as I can wear these for over six hours while gaming without any discomfort. HyperX’s build quality has always been spot on, coupled with the braided cable provides a sense of high quality.

Q: QuestionWhat's the second cable's purpose? The one that's split into a "Y" shape. Is it just an extension cable, serving the same purpose as the one with the volume control, but giving extra cable length?
Asked by Blake.
- A:Answer Extra length but more importantly a plug for the mic and the headphones. Plug these into a sound card or just into the jacks in your device. From there you can separate the mic volume (or set to listen to) and headset volume in various ways.

Q: QuestionAre these compatible with pc and if so can I use them for discord to talk with my friends
Asked by Mark.
- A:Answer Yes the Hyper-X headset with charging wire is great for both. I use mine every day on my PC. Mic works great. Talk to friends on discord all day with them. And when your wire is tangled to the point of breaking, you can buy a replacement wire inexpensive online instead of buying a whole new headset. Happy gaming!

Q: QuestionUsing for XBox One, is there a way to mute the microphone? I see that it comes with a USB wire that has that feature for computers but not compatible with XBox
Asked by Mel.
- A:Answer Yes, you can mute the mic with the In-line audio control that connects directly to your Xbox one controller.. I use Xbox one and use the mic mute

Q: QuestionDoes this Play game play sound through the headset for Xbox one?
Asked by John.
- A:Answer Yes it does!

Q: QuestionI’m going to be using this with my blue yeti mic and I was wondering if the mic was detachable?
Asked by Jackson.
- A:Answer The mic does detach and looks good even without it, the remaining hole is small and unobtrusive.
Answered by Adam
Q: QuestionDoes the mic echo whenever you’re talking in party chat with multiple people? ( 2 or more)
Asked by mason.
- A:Answer It will occasionally if volume is too high. I just have to turn down volume a little bit or move to more game audio in mixer and echo goes away. Great sound though and happy with them
Answered by Brad
Q: QuestionDoes this headset connect through USB or standard headphone jack? The headphone port on the kids PC is broken AGAIN and I'd really like a good pair of wired headphones that work through USB
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It connects via tri-pole 3.5mm headphone jack and includes a splitter to break it out into separate headphone and microphone signals. Your best bet might be to purchase a USB audio adapter, which I had to do anyway to eliminate microphone signal noise on my aging PC.
Answered by Trav
Q: QuestionDoes it come with Carrying Case?
Asked by Komtech.
- A:Answer It's more like a faux satin bag with drawstrings than a carrying case.
