Really great investment
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I wanted to get into streaming and creating my own videos, I am really happy that I found this starter kit. I have heard some questionable reviews in regards to the headset but in all honesty, I can say too much due to the fact I have only been using these products for about a week. What I can say though is for the price, getting both a good headset and excellent mic for cheaper than either would be by itself is absolutely a no brainer. The external mic is great and so clear with just a plug and play set up. I am still a beginner with mics but it does have some heft to it but that's honestly a plus because it can't get knocked over so easily and just feels durable. It has a quick "tap to touch" mute button right on top and big so it's very quick to mute if you need to with a corresponding light to know when it's muted or not. Not too big nor small and it has a sleek appearance to it so it's nice to look at Again, I haven't had a whole lot of extensive experience with any headsets but as a beginner I am happy with the headset. The noise cancelling foam is adequate enough especially in combination with the crisp audio quality that I typically play while my father is in the same room watching TV at a decently loud level. In terms of comfort, I think they're good. I can last about 45min-1 hour before I feel a decent amount of pressure. This could just be because I am not used to wearing headphones ever so maybe this is just an unavoidable result with any extensive wear with headphones but I just wanted to note it. I wear hoop earrings and for the most part they don't get in the way but as a preference, I find no earrings much more comfortable.

THIS IS IT! YOU'VE FOUND IT, DON'T PASS IT UP!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow. The SoloCast microphone is what I've been looking for for like 4 years. seriously. I have lost count of how many headsets I have tried (ones ranging to almost $200) and I've always come to the same problem "you're too quiet". while yes, I know I am 80% of the problem (I have a quiet voice) I have kept hope that I would eventually find a mic where people could actually here me. This is it. I've found it. The only reason I got the mic with the headphones was because it was on sale for the same price as if I had just gotten the mic so I thought, "why not". I don't feel like I can give a super accurate review for the headphones. I've tried like 3 HyperX headsets at different times (so I never realized they all had the common issue I speak about below, and I have realized just now) and I've never had great success with them. HOWEVER, The night of writing this review, I tried connecting just regular headphones in, and I had the same audio issues that I have experienced with this Cloud Core headset and the other HyperX sets. I am ALSO now realizing they all use the Realtek audio. I have a feeling that's the issue, and not the headset itself. The issue is an electric buzz sound after anything slightly louder then normal comes through. So it happens while someone is talking in discord or in music where the singers voice goes a pitch higher. other than that buzz, they do have a very clear sound and are very noise canceling, and I feel that they're definitely worth a try for some. Realtek is kinda buggy, but it's not the headset's fault. Like I said, I only really bought this for the mic, so I'm leaving my overall rating at 5 stars because, seriously, I'm so incredibly happy with the mic. If I was reviewing the headset, I'd probably give it a 3 unfortunately. maybe HyperX could add in their own audio thingy (idk what it's called) instead of having it use Realtek, then I think this headset would be amazing. Overall, incredibly happy. I will gift the headset to someone who isn't having Realtek issues :)

Great deal but not as described
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this bundle for the headphones mainly but this bundle was cheaper than the headphones alone. I already had a razer siren microphone so I took some pictures and compared the sound. The siren’s main issue is it is extremely quiet but after adjusting settings it works fine. The Hyperx Solocast is a bit louder but picks up way more background noise. The headsets is solid but the description is not what is exactly in the box. The description clearly states the cloud core has a 7.1 with a box to control and enable the 7.1 sound. But it is nothing more than the 3.0 cable to the speaker/mic cable. I decided to return these and opted for a wireless pair.

A solid Streamer's Package
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far one of the best starter packs I could have purchased. It was very affordable and the bundle is a big bang for your buck! The HyperX SoloCast is an excellent choice for a usb condenser mic. When I talk to my friends on Discord, TeamTalk, or WhatsApp, they can hear me loud and clear. The only drawback is that the microphone produces lots of base. The arm is also flexible, making it easy to adjust the position of the microphone to your liking. The CloudCore wired headset is also a great choice. It's very lightweight and comfortable, allowing for hours of game play. Watching movies with it on Netflix, or any other streaming service is also superb with Dolby Atmos for headphones enabled. Though the headset costs a fraction of its competitors, the sound quality is very high. Surround sound makes the experience very immersive and replicates a complex home theater system. Spatial audio positioning is very precise and allows me to visualize what the characters are doing, despite being visually impaired. The removable microphone is also quite clear and a good alternative in situations where a USB condenser microphone is simply unwieldy. The controls on the chord allow for easy volume adjustment and fast muting as well. Over all, this is a great starter pack and for the money you pay, you get an excellent deal, considering other competitors often charge much more.

Great headphones for a decent price.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been a while since I purchased this headphones/mic combo and it is still going strong. The only issue that I have, and this may have nothing to do with the mic, but Teams and other Video Conferencing services sometimes do not pick up the headphones and/or mic immediately.

Q: QuestionCan you use the headset and microphone to work together? Or just the headset and the little mic alone
Asked by Alex.
- A:Answer You can use the mic and the headset separately. The little mic attached to the headset is easily detachable and saved for later as sort of a 'back up' mic if you need it.
