THis is a really difficult movie to watch for any HEATH LEDGER fan, and amazing actor taken from life way too young! This is a wonderful film though in all that it presents to help us understand the life of heath ledger! A true keeper for any fan of this amazing actor. I miss his work and an am happy to have this is my collection!
Ive been a major Heath fan for years and just love his work. I was ancy about watching this film, I deeply miss him and wasnt sure I was ready to see so much of his private life knowing how things ended. But what a heartfelt and rewarding look into the life of such an amazing and creative man. I'm very glad I bought this film. it was an honor to visit heaths life as seen thru his eyes. RIP Mr Ledger - I will miss you, but I will always enjoy the legacy you have left behind!
If you enjoyed Heath Ledger's career and you're a doc fiend like myself, i think you'll like this one. I only rate it 4 because I think 5 is a pretty high bar and this doc used a bit more personal video than I prefer, someone else may think it's the perfect amount. It is Heath though. From the looks of it, he liked documenting everything, whether it be with a still camera of some sort or video, he was doing something like that all the time, sharpening his craft or just trying to capture the day. There were just a couple of times when they were playing that I wished we would get to the actual story of Heath but I understand it was important to show much of his passions. Other than that very small note, I really enjoyed this and it made me wonder what he might have done over the years in entertaining us had he had more time. He was an excellent actor and loved by many.
This was beautiful film to have seen the inside of Heath Ledger's life with footage he filmed and interviews from close friends and family. It is really beautifully put together in chronological order. Though we know how his story ended, it's incredibly seeing the entirety of it. Not just his tragic death. Heath's work really speaks for itself, both on and off camera in this film. Truly a talented human who was tragically lost too soon. RIP Heath.
Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight will forever stay in my mind as one of the signature and greatest performances of any actor or actress in film history. This documentary sheds light into his preparation for that iconic role as well as those for his other films. Beyond that, it tells the story of a genuinely good and creative person who wanted to exceed at the highest level in his crafts and as a human being. To say the least, his star is one which tragically burned out far too soon.
