I liked the small size to fit on my nightstand and liked the mini remote. However there is not a skip button or other buttons to affect the iPod on the main base or remote. I liked the dimmer button which without I wouldn't have been able to sleep. I also liked the sleep function but it really didn't get quite enough to fall asleep to. I did not like that if you had an iPod docked the alarm automatically defaulted to iPod, you couldn't choose to wake to buzzer. There isn't a radio which it turned out I missed. I returned the product (with ease).

This will allow you to wake up to your Ipod. Here are a couple of issues I found.
1) You can not listen to your Ipod on Shuffle for sleep mode or any mode. So your songs will always play in alphabetical order.
2)Even on the lowest setting the display is too bright. (I have to turn off the lighted display)
3) This may seem stupid, but the buttons when pressed "click". During normal time its not that big a deal, but at 3AM having to hear that click over and over cause I am turning the display on and then lower or hitting snooze is annoying.
4) No Radio
But It sounds pretty good and looks really good!. OH 1more thing DOES NOT come with adaptor plate for Ipod Nano generation 4 or below. Only generation 5. Does not tell you that. Had to order adaptor from Ihome for $5.99 for my Ipod generation 4.
Honestly, its expensive and for the price either shop around for something cheaper or fess up an extra 20 spot and get a better IHome model. Kinda wish I took mine back when I had the chance.

I bought this for my 14 year old son for Christmas. I looked around at other iHomes but they ran close to $100 for the features I wanted. He seems very pleased with it. It is small enough for him to carry with him, it has all the necessary features: it charges, has an alarm clock, a remote as well as a radio. It's great for a forgetful 14 year old. One disadvantage might be that his cousin's nano would not charge on this particular iHome,

This is a nice player for my mom's ipod. She is 70. It is easy for her to use - takes up a small amount of space in her small apartment - but puts out a nice sound quality. Good price too.

this is a great product to use. it has great sound quality and the size is also good. but sometimes the iPod stops because it has to be properly adjusted in the slot. the remote is a great feature. it works pretty good but sometimes you have to hit the button a couple of times

This ipod alarm clock is great! Not only is the sound crystal clear but I love taking off the ipod and it being fully charged every time! It also lights up at night or has a feature to turn off the background light at night. I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it to others!

I bought one less than a year ago, mine did come with a remote. Was really easy to set up, very compact, alright sound for something that size. But, it just stopped working one morning after I had used it the night before.
I would prefer something less quality that lasted longer... this didn't even last a year. Now it's time to upgrade to something better quality, with a radio

After 18 years with a dual-alarm CD player that finally broke, I bought the iHome to recharge my iPhone, play iTunes track, and wake to my preferred track. I was sorely disappointed and I'm returning it. My issues: 1. when the iPhone is in the cradle, the clock is too dim to view the time. 2. if you set the iHome to sleep, then you are woken up to whichever track is next to play. 3. No volume control for the alarm. 4. No changing the setting for the sleep timer (90 mins) or snooze (I don't know what this one is--after I hit snooze, the alarm never came back. 5. the alarm on/off switch is easy to bump to turn off/on when you don't plan to do so. 6. There is a volume control on the remote only, which means that when you are in the dark (as one might be when using an alarm clock, especially one where one can't read the time because the display dims when one's iPhone is in the cradle) that one has to find the remote and try to find the volume buttons in the dark--or turn the light on.
When would I recommend this? When you're looking to play your iTunes and charge your iPhone in the kitchen, when you have friends over, etc. and you don't care about the alarm part. But if so, then just buy a cheaper device that isn't supposed to be an alarm clock.
