iHome - Speaker System - Black

I got this because I love my iPhone, gadgets, and apps! However, in this case, it just all seemed put together in such a way that it was kind of confusing. Particularly when you are trying to figure out what is going to kick in in the morning, the iphone alarm or the clock alarm? The sound quality was ok but nothing special in my opinion. I downloaded and installed the app and it took a little bit to figure it out. It has a bit of a confusing interface as well. However, I got it figured out with a little while of playing with it. I finally just returned it and got the iHome: iP90B. Can't explain why but I love it MUCH better! It has a much better sound quality and build quality for that matter. I can still use the iHome app with it too, even though it isn't specifically promoted.

Overall I like this machine. The sound quality is pretty good for an alarm clock and the app makes it very versatile. It's nice to be able to program one playlist for going to sleep and a different playlist to wake to - and set volume levels for each playlist as well. The only thing that I dont like is the location of docking connection. Your iPhone/iPod docks on the front of the machine, and the connection is rather flimsy (I feel like I'm going to break it one of these days)

Very good clock and the speaker sounds great! The only problem is that the clock alarm will not go off correctly all the time. I guess it depends on how the song that you use as the alarm was recorded. Other than that, the clock radio/ipod charger works great! I have not used the other information or sleep stats because internet connection is needed for those applications.

The power button on the top is like a homing beacon. It lights up the whole room. What's it for anyway? (When does one turn off their clock?) I was excited to wake to the news that happened overnight. Little did I realize it was my friends' twitter and facebook news. blah. The app has basically no useful features. It's just a means of setting the clock and alarms via your iphone. Who needs to keep track of when they went to sleep and woke up everyday???

Awesome alarm clock and easy to use. Has a back up battery just in case the power goes out which is great cause you never know. The sound is good enough for a room. I do recommend it..

I can't really give an accurate rating because I was never able to use the unit as intended. I couldn't attach my iPhone while the phone case was on. I refuse to remove the case each time I want to attach the phone to the speakers/clock. The adaptor seemed a little flimsy, too. Took it back the next day.

You must be smarter than the machine! I got this as a gift for my gf....she hooked it up, downloaded the app, and had the whole thing figured out within 5 minutes. (When does one turn off their clock?)"...It's to dim the clock when you are sleeping so that "annoying" light doesn't keep you awake. This thing is great, we both love it and for the sale price you can't beat it!

I bought this because of the iHome sleep app on my iPhone.....it was compatible. Really it does nothing to enhance this app and the app works fine all by itself...and the app is FREE.
