I purchased my son a new MacBook I purchased this hard shell cover to protect his MacBook needless to say this was a gift it does not fit the the laptop the package says 13” his MacBook is 13” the case in the packaging is huge and because I purchased the item prior to gifting its too late for a return :( the case I received was not the size it was supposed to be and it is not the size it’s very own packaging claims to be and Best Buy can’t help

I bought this case in January and it has protected my Mac. It has occasionally popped off for no apparent reason throughout the use. I have used my Mac on a daily basis, as a student. So I use it a lot. I am not 100% satisfied with it, as the corners have slowly broken and cracked. It is still on the Mac but just waiting for the day that it cracks completely and breaks. I'm not sure how it could damage this easily just from everyday use.

At first, this seems like a good case to protect your MacBook Air. I have to say that it seems to be very flimsy. It fits nice over the laptop but sometimes the back side catches with the top half, when you open your laptop. It makes a clicking noise. If you are looking for basic protection against minor scratches, it does the job but don't expect it to protect your laptop from an accidental drop.
