As you know by the product description, the Super Deluxe version comes with all available formats released: The DVD of the concert, The DVD of the bonus features, the Blu Ray (contains both the concert and bonus features), and a digital download code for both the concert and bonus features in both HD and SD. Here are a few notes about each: DVDs / Bluray: The concert is great, one of the best U2 has put out as an official release. This concert was the show televised on HBO in December 2015 from Paris, but there are some differences. There was definitely some edits done, some for the good and some for the not so good. The release contains 'The Fly' which acts as an intermission between the 1st set and the 2nd set of the show. This was not part of the HBO special, and what is cool about this is you see the behind the scenes prep the band does between the sets. You also see Bono singing live and performing the song along with the pre-recorded music that is being played. At the end you get a live version of '40' played to the credits. I am not sure when this was performed, but most likely at show the 1983 Red Rocks show that late tour manager Dennis Sheehan began the tradition of singing 'how long to sing this song'. Mr. Sheehan passed away in May of 2015 in LA during this tour, so this is undoubtedly a tribute to him and how much he will be missed. My only 'bad' video edit came during 'Even Better than the Real Thing' where there is a close camera mount near each band member performing. It is very awkward and wish they didn't have these camera cuts, but they aren't bad enough the ruin the overall all well done direction of this show. The Bonus Material is very good, I am glad they included The Electric Co, Out of Control, and Bad as bonuses as they were such a big part of the tour. I wish they had included Angel of Harlem, Sweetest Thing, and/or Desire for the same reasons, but overall a good collections of bonuses. Digital Download Card: This is only available with the Super Deluxe. It is what you think it is, but I am a little disappointed with it. It is a code that you redeem through Universal's website specifically for this release. You then download the .MP4 files from the site, and then can import them in iTunes or put on your mobile device. My issue with it is that I wish I could download it from iTunes directly. There aren't any chapters set up for it, so if you watch through Apple TV via stream you need to fast forward it to get to where you want versus a simple skip to next chapter. The file sizes are very big (9GB for the concert in HD) so it is difficult to add to mobile devices unless you have a lot of space. An iTunes copy for me would have been better so I could stream it and have chapters with it. It is so inconvenient that I may need to re-buy a download copy via iTunes in the future. Super Deluxe Extras: The USB Lightbulb is very cool for a collector. It lights up when plugged in and resembles the bulb that the show starts with hanging over the stage. The 64-page book is also great. Many pictures from the show, as well liner notes from Irish playwright Connor McPherson and Gavin Friday. The remaining 'stuff' is where things get a little gimmicky, but still nice to have for a fan. There are pin badges (3 different ones of the band or with the tour logo), dog tags that are individually numbered, postcards (great photo selection for them), stickers, and a stencil set of a light bulb, boot, and a wolf. The box itself is made up of high quality cardboard with a magnetic flag to keep it closed but for easy opening. Final recommendation: So I am a diehard U2 fan, and have been for years. I have been to 20 shows over the years (5 on the i&e tour). I love to collect U2 releases and have purchased previous Deluxe box sets (U2360, No Line on the Horizon, Achtung Baby, etc). This right up there with the best and do not regret my purchase. If you are a diehard U2 fan and collector, do not hesitate get this edition you will not be disappointed. If you like U2 but don't care about the gimmicky stuff and are not a collector, I would suggest the blu-ray version and save the $100.

As a lifelong U2 fan, collecting anything and everything they release, the question was not whether I would buy a copy of this concert or not. The only debate was whether to buy this or the "Super Deluxe" edition/set, which for $100 more would land me non-digital media/paraphernalia (not what I mean when I say I buy "anything and everything they release" [I'm about their music. Not so much about buttons and postcards]), so I opted for this. I give it 4 stars not because it's inherently lacking, as much as it is simply a qualitative assessment of the show as it stands up against their other performances (other commercially available live shows). It's very good, but not their best. That's just my opinion and preference. 5 star shows include Sydney, Slane Castle, and Boston, for example. This review probably only resonates with other lifelong fans, so I'm sorry for those that this might be less relevant. All-in-all: Great show! Buy it.

The unique stage was supposed to make this a concert about new technology, similar to 'The Claw' on the last tour, and it is impressive. Watching the band interact with the screen was pretty trippy. The camera work was excellent and the sound immersive. But events conspired to make this the most political and emotional U2 concert in decades. Giving the stage over to another band at the end for two songs - The Eagles of Death Metal, whom I had never heard before and who didn't seem particularly death metal either but were enjoyable - took a lot of stones. they were the band whose concert had been bombed by terrorist just months before. Some nice bonus features on this disc, including videos and alternate versions of songs from other nights with Hats off to U2 for a concert that put tears in my eyes. Bravo!

As a long time U2 fan, I certainly enjoyed this concert video. U2 live is always a great experience! A video is not quite the same as being there, but this one works very well if you couldn't be. I would have scored 4.5; because the spectacle of the concert staging was not quite up to par with some priors. However, there is one major part of the staging for this concert that has one thinking, "How are they doing that!" No spoiler-alert, but a hint,,,,the audience is cut in half, yet no misses a thing!

The highly professional yet dreamy production works on many levels, elevates the music and pushes the boundaries of the now megapixel band back to their underground roots. The innovations and designs reveal a clever video subtext for anyone making a connection between audience and band; the seeds of love over hate. U2 offers to fill in the gaps of their history while making it inside and outside a seemingly out of control world with a very personal collection of songs. At a time when Paris hearts and minds were tested by an attack, as well as fears of another attack, we can now listen in as the love comes to town for an inspired visit worth remembering.

If you're like me, U2 is one of your favorite bands! This Blu-ray disc definitely delivers with the hi-def look and particularly the sound of the band. Each instrument is very well audible throughout each song. Guitar bass drums and of course Bono's voice. I have only watched this disk on a 32-inch 720 TV using a Polk audio system from about 8 years ago. And it still looks and sounds, yes, that's good! If you are a fan of the 360 Tour from 2009, you're going to love the live in Paris disc. Actually, the innocence and experience tour is that much better!

I've been a U2 fan since I first heard, "New Year's Day" playing on NYC's WNEW radio. I've seen them live and have all of their concert films. "Live in Paris" is by far their best. Set against the almost impossible feat of playing after a tragedy, U2 not only rose to the occasion but reset the bar for concert experiences. From the set to the set list, it was a night to remember. I can honestly say that, between the airings on HBO and this Bluray, I must have watched this show 25 times.
