Worth The Money A+ Product!
Posted .People have given bad reviews on this TV b/c of the slow channel changing, but think about it, unless you have NO CABLE or Satelitte then why would you EVER change the channel except to switch between your video outputs for DVD, or game system. I ended up only paying $149 b/c of a coupon & Insignia is a great brand. The picture quality is great, its a flat tube which is better overall next to an HD TV, it has a great color, the overall size is perfect as mine sits on my PC desk in my office and I still have plenty of room for my other stuff. It is compatible w/your cable remote, easy to setup and adjust your colors and contrast, has parental controls, and dual speakers on each side of the screen. I dont have to turn the volume up very much, in fact I usually keep it on 12 as compared to my old TV I had the volume up past 20. It has plenty of video outputs which one is convientally located on the side of the TV so you dont have to fuss with getting to the back of the TV. The side video output is great as I have my PS3 plugged in, not to mention I have my cable box, and a DVD player and still have an extra output to add anything else that I want. For the price you are going to pay, you wont go wrong with this TV and if you are going to not purchase it b/c of slow channel changing, less than 5 seconds at best, then you should consider pay more money for another TV.

You're getting your money's worth.
Posted .This is a good T.V given how cheap it is. I payed about 150 dollars for it and it isn't the best but it gets the job done. I'm a college student and it is a good fit for my room. It's not too expensive and it's only purpose is occasional T.V viewing and intense video gaming. I'm totally satisfied with this television. It isn't the best available but it gets the job done. If you want a cheap T.V that you can play video games on and watch television on, then this is a good buy. The only real problems with this T.V is that there is a high pitched noise coming from inside of the T.V and the picture quality is quite average. But like I said before...You get what you pay for.

Poor Quality
Posted .I got this TV from my daughter as a Christmas present. There are no cables, no antennae, nothing except a remote and a couple batteries plus a manual in a kazillion languages. I set the TV up on the stand, plugged it in and attached the cable. Then I used the menu to set up the features. No matter how high I set the sharpness, my wife's old Magnavox from about 1990 out perfored this TV in the sharpness department. It was soft and not at all crisp even at the highest setting of 60. I backed it down to 30 as I want a TV which performs when set at a lower setting so as to allow for aging. I don't know if the tube is the problem or the algorithms, but it seems to me that the yoke on the neck of the picture tube which changes direction of the electrons fired at the screen, is not on the picture tube just right, but then, it may be something to do with the size of the holes in the mask on the tube face, who knows? I do know that if I cannot get a replacement which at least does as well and the 17 year old Magnavox, I will get another brand. Lots of trouble to exchange Christmas gifts, wish there were another way.

Satisfied with Service Plan
Posted .I bought this television October '06. 7 mos later, the picture tube made a popping sound and the picture disappeared. Initially we just put the TV in the basement until we had time to bring it back to the store. We returned it this month, luckily I had bought the Service Plan. We were instructed to pick out a brand new television which we brought home that day. No waiting weeks or months for the product to be repaired. I highly suggest buying the service plan with most purchases, it's worth the extra money. The people at the store in Crestwood Missouri were very friendly and helpful. Despite the Television malfunctioning so quickly after buying it, we did buy another Insignia, and hopefully this one will last much longer. But if not, they said the service plan I bought with the first TV will carry over to the new, replacement television.

Decent TV
Posted .Bought this TV to replace my aging Magnavox 19". It has a nice array of video connectors and it's super easy to setup. My only quips with the TV are its lack of sound controls and a high pitched noise coming from it when you change channels.

Good buy
Posted .Bought this TV when I moved in a new apartment and due to limited space. Did some research before buying this TV and can say that I am quite happy with the purchase. This TV have a SVideo output which I did not see for TVs in this price range, it has a black panel that looks nice. Only drawback of this TV is flipping thru channels is slow. Not a bad bargain.

Good, cheap TV
Posted .I got this TV when it was $99 at best buy for my room. The picture is good but not outstanding, and the biggest problem i have is the long time it takes the TV to switch channels. Other than that, good value and a recommended buy
