- A: AnswerIf I understand correctly, this refrigerator is a fairly recent addition to Best Buy's Insigna store product line. In answer to your questions: 1) I cannot say that the doors are removeable. The delivery men turned the refrigerator sideways and did not have any problem getting it into my house since my entrance doors are 36 inches wide. 2) I do see fingerprints along the door handles while we are still getting used to the flat handles, but they wipe off well. I like the flat appearance without handles sticking out, but I am right handed enough that the left side seems awkward to open. Just not used to it yet. There are more important positives that I am glad to have. 3) I was told the names of two different manufacturers when I asked three different store clerks: 1) LG from two of them, including one manager and one clerk who had specialized training for LG and 2) Whirlpool from the third clerk who actually rang up the sale. Both are good brands, but one of the main things I wanted was the French drawer. I tried all the samples from both brands at the store and the drawers seemed thin and too flexible for my taste. This Insigna has proven to be more sturdy with thicker feeling walls and less flexible bottom. It does have plastic drawers in the freezer instead of coated wire. The only downside to this is that both upper doors have to be open to pull out that French drawer. The ice maker is built into the top drawer with a container for dumping rather than a more self-contained enclosure. The water dispenser is rather small, too. I bought this product sight unseen since there were no samples in the store. I did not particularly need the door ice/water dispenser, so I am more than happy with the quality, size, and price.

- A: AnswerHi, we noticed that a few times. We had to make sure the bottom basket was closed/pushed in all the way first, every time we opened and closed the fridge. I also clicked the ice maker button on and off a few times, to “reset” idk if that did anything to help but we haven’t had anymore problems since. I’m almost certain through it has to do with the top freezer basket not being pushed in all the way. Good luck!

Q: QuestionWhat type of ice does this refrigerator make? Cubed, half moon, etc?(2 answers)
A: AnswerThe ice comes out in cubes, and they are a little smaller than normal ice cubes.Answered by CeCe
- A: AnswerHi! The ice maker is located inside the freezer compartment, near the top of the compartment. The water dispenser is located inside the left side of the refrigerator compartment. - A: AnswerMy husband and I purchased this refrigerator in June to go in a space that sounds just like yours. I had searched and searched for a French door/bottom freezer combo with pocket handles due to having a wall on the right. We are EXTREMELY pleased with our choice!! The right side door opens up just against the wall but ALL the drawers open as much as they would even if that door could open further. I actually drove to our local Best Buy to check it out prior to ordering to be sure it would work. We’ve now had the refrigerator a little over two months and are very pleased!!

Q: QuestionWhat are the measurements of the depth without doors? My door is 31 1/2 inches wide.(2 answers)
A: Answer29" it's 32" with; we had to take bubble wrap off and the front off it's hinges to get into 34" front also the latch part of the screen door because it sticks out about an inch. Be careful if you have to go through a hall area( door knobs sticking out).Answered by Rusty

Great Fridge for the price compared to others
I got this fridge open box for a great price for more than 50% of the regular price. Overall I am pleased with the fridge especially because other refrigerators with similar features would have cost a whole lot more. It is very quiet and the lighting inside is perfect. Controls are easy to use and I like it's sleek look. I only have a few concerns/issues: 1. The refrigerator doors are slightly off center however it is only noticeable when you are up close. However because the doors are off center the top of the freezer door scraps up against the bottom of the metal bracket holding the refrigerator door - not a big issue for me just annoying. 2. I also believe there may be a design flaw because the long bottom drawer in the fridge gets off track when the 2 drawers above are full or "too heavy". This happens every time I have to open the long bottom drawer. Again not a big issue just annoying. Overall I would buy this fridge again even with the 2 issues noted above.

Nice and roomy!
We have had this unit for about a month now. Works vary quietly. The ice maker and water work great it is very big inside my wife loves it . It looks like if we dont have much food in it ,with what we are use to getting. Freezer is cool and easy to use. The only bad thing i have found is the finger -prints that get left behind after one touches it. So for it is a great unit we will see in the days or years to come.

Beautiful from both the front and sides
This is a simple refrigerator and although I wanted more features the price difference was more than double for other refrigerators. This one differs in one way: the sizes are a beautiful laser cut pattern as best that I can tell. Even the $3500 KitchenAid had a very boring, typical textured pattern on the side. This refrigerator is just more beautiful on the outside. Lighting is decent and the LED has a nice effect where it turns on slowing until it reaches full. I like that and I saw that on the KitchenAid. For a reference, KitchenAid is far more beautiful on the inside and it features more lights. The storage on this is exceptional! It seems to be twice as large as our old refrigerator. I love that I don't have to bend over to pull any food out- even the freezer! Everything is eye level or can be seen from top down. From every company that we shopped, this one at BestBuy appears to be the best deal. Exceptional quality and design.
