Great TV for the money, and for more moneyPosted .
I bought this TV for my "man room" to play xbox on and for a second TV in the house. My main TV is a Sony Wega 42" LCD Projection from 2005. I have had it a few days now and am pretty impressed with it so far. The options that come on this TV for the price beat out anything else in its class. The next closest was a Vizio, but I purchased this one because it came with an extra year warranty. If you know what to expect from a TV in this price range you should be thoroughly happy with this one. If you feel you must have 1080P or 120hz, then you will have to spend more, but on a 32" it really is not necessary. The picture quality is really nice. It has a lot of preset modes and the ability to customize one. It also has some nice color modes. My favorite thing about adjusting the picture is the overscan. With my Xbox connected via HDMI, it allows the overscan to be turned off so you get the full digital picture with no zooming. Great for a source that you know will fill the exact pixels on the screen like Xbox or a computer. As mentioned in some other reviews, anything over 720p on a 32 is unnecessary and unless you sit within 2 feet of this TV you will not notice any pixels or distortion. I really don't believe that 120Hz makes a difference at this size either as I have not seen any blur or ghosting while playing fast paced Xbox games. I do not have an HD TV signal connected to this right now (other than the Xbox), but the SD signal is what you would expect. The sound seems quite adequate so far. LCD's are notorious for lousy sound when compared to older tube TV's, mainly because if you want it to be thin and light they can't put huge speakers in there. That being said, the sound will get loud for the room I have it in, it just does not have the bass and fullness that a bigger speaker package would give you. It will still get too loud for when my children are sleeping. The set up and operation were very easy. I got my Dish remote programmed for it with no problem. The menu is very simple and fairly intuitive to navigate. The remote control is a bit overkill in my opinion. It can be a universal, but I use the Dish remote for that. The functions are easy to find and operate on the remote though. Overall great TV. For a bedroom, second room or even a small living room the features and quality of this TV can not be beat for the price. If you are trying to fill a large living room it might be a bit small. That is not a function of quality though, but rather that it is only a 32" tv.I would recommend this to a friend

Many Features Not Listed Here... GREAT TV!!!Posted .
This TV is a tremendous value and is fantastic in every respect. The TV does everything listed and more. It even includes a wall mountable remote control holder, just in case you want to hang the remote next to the tv or on the wall by your couch. In my opinion a pointless feature, but still a novel idea. Now for the good stuff that is not mentioned in the description: ## It comes with a 4 component universal LEARNING remote control that even supports macros. This makes it perfect for operating cable or satellite receivers. I am using it to operate my DVR and stereo perfectly. I set up a macro on a button that I don't need so that I can press one button to turn on my TV, DVR and stereo and it will control the volume on my stereo. Very easy to program too. Surprising feature for a sub $400 TV. ## Though it is not listed in the description, the TV has a QAM tuner, so if it is connected directly to your cable, there is a good chance you will have many digital cable channels (depending on your cable company of course; I have Comcast with 73 analog and 68 digital channels). Overall you really can't beat this TV. Less than $400 for all these features plus a 2 year IN HOME warranty with a free loaner TV if it can't be repaired on site. I have had great luck with Best Buy's Insignia products over the years and this is definitely a great step forward for an already outstanding product line. Since it is a Best Buy brand, they also stand by the product, so it is in my opinion not necessary to even consider the Service Plan, which I do tend to purchase on many items. BUY IT. YOU WON"T BE DISAPPOINTED.I would recommend this to a friend

Great television set at a very reasonable pricePosted .
This is my first review of a product that I had purchased at Best Buy, and I couldn't be more happier with the product that I had received. I love the size, weight and design of this set, making it a great replacement for an old, extremely heavy 32" CRT television. I also found that this set had exactly the connections I wanted, and even more. There are 4 HDMI connectors, 2 AV, 2 Component and even a VGA port with sound input! The setup was very simple and in less than 5 minutes after taking it out of the box, it was ready for use. One of the most interesting features on the set is the ability to turn off the screen for audio only; I really enjoy this feature as some channels are music only and it isn't necessary for the screen to be on. Finally, the sound and picture are very decent for a television of this size and I'm still impressed with how great it looks. I would highly recommend this product for those looking for a decently priced, mid-sized flat screen television. Together with a 2-year warranty, there isn't really anything to complain about!I would recommend this to a friend

A very, very nice TVPosted .
I have did a lot of research, because like most people I dont have the hole money to buy those expensive 40-50-60 inch tvs. and i was searching for some usefull, money-worth and reliable tv. believe me, you will be not disapointed with the perfomance of this tv, it cost me $ 396 with all and taxes. it comes with PBY component cables, a huge remote (hahaha), batteries, a wallmount for the remote, and instructions , its so easey to set up like most lcd tv's. is obvius that if you dont have an HD cable/satelite box service the image will be poor and because of that most pople think that it looks bad. dont be fooled by that. it haz a 4 HDMI inputs, a VGA for your computer, an optical input (for the home theater), and numerus more inputs/ outpus. if you connect your computer via VGA or HDMI (some computers have HDMI output like the one a have) prepare yourself to be AMAZED by the picture. HD chanels look good and best of all many of em are 1080i (this tv haz a peak resolituion of 1080i). and i have it conected to my home theater and combining all i said OMG¡¡¡ seriusly, dont be fooled by the brand. if you dont have a home theater its obvius that the built in speakers will sound like an old tv but it haz costume equalkizations for bass, middle, high sounds. do some research, so you can learn how and what to buy.I would recommend this to a friend

A really great HDTV for the moneyPosted .
I picked up the T.V. to replace my 26" for the bedroom that only had 1 HDMI connection. Having to switch cables from the comcast HD DVR, Computer, and PS3 was a pain to say the least. I looked at a lot of different HDTV's online and it was down to the Vizio 32" the Samsung and this one. Well with all the features and price, not to mention the standard 2 Year Warrany that came with this one, it was a steal. Altought it don't have the highest contrast ratio out there, it dose come with 4 HDMI connections, which is a plus. It has a universal remote to control all the function of my Comcast Cable box. It also has a Headphone jack to hook up my 2.1 speaker system for the bedroom. Although the sound is pleasantly suprising nice and loud, and I really don't need to turn up the volume to much. Now as far as the picture goes this set is more than I could have hoped for. The color accuracy is not as spot on a some of the more high end models goes, but at $349.99 you can't beat it. The HD channels look crisp and sharp and clear. The analog channels are also nice. As a computer monitor this is really nice as well. The 1360 x 768 resolution is nice for a 32" monitor. If you want the 1920 x 1080 you'll have to get a 1080p set, but like Cnet says for a 32" you don't need a 1080p resolution unless you get a 42" or larger because you won't notice the differance. I also like the fact that it has a swivel base, a feature you don't find on some of the lower priced HDTV's. The remote looks nice, not plain and cheap. I have a 42" Sharp 1080p for the living room and use that mostly used for movies on the Blu-ray and playing games on my Xbox, and this set I must say gives it a run for it's money. If your on the fence deciding to get this, don't. It's well worth the money spent. The wife says that it's worth it as well. And guy's when your wife says spending money on a new tv is ok and she also loves it as much as you do, count your blessings.I would recommend this to a friend

Great quality for the Price.Posted .
Great TV for the price! Have had nothing but a great experience with this TV so far. Set-up is very simple if you aren't mounting (if you are; it based on the mount you have purchased). Four screws in the bottom and you are done. Plug it in and let it scan for channels. The scanner was quick and in less then 2 minutes I was watching The Office in HD. Gaming on this is great. Even with puny speakers, this thing puts out quite a bit of sound, of course if you want to listen to music and high bass tones or treble tones obviously hook it up to a Surround Sound system using the audio outputs or the digital audio output. 720P is great for sports and for gaming, haven't had the need for 1080P yet, but if I so desire I can just turn my 22" monitor into a 1080P TV. Blu-ray movies are, also, great on this TV. One problem I have had is the glossy black fingerprint smudges. However, Insignia has thought of the finger print smudges and has included a LCD cloth to wipe away those smudges. Another problem is the size of the volume menu bar. It takes up about 1/8 of the screen when it is up. Sometimes I have to pause a movie just to turn up the volume. But if you turn the opacity of the menu to 9 it is hard to see it when you turn it up. Still an annoyance, though.I would recommend this to a friend

THIS IS A GREAT TV FOR THE PRICE!!Posted .
I recently bought one of these TVs for my bedroom and i love it.. its good for gaming and just watching TV.. it has a great HD picture... and if u have it on the stand it swivels so if u sit in different spots in your room u can twist it to aim it in your direction so u don't have to scratch up your TV stand by twisting the TV to aim right!!... this TV has 2 component cable plug ins, 4 HDMI cable plug ins, and 2 RCA cable plug ins, and also a VGA plug in, so if u have alot of things u want to plug into your TV there should be space.. even if u want to hook up your computer to it!! so all in all this is a good TV to buy especially for its price!!I would recommend this to a friend

Exactly what I was expectingPosted .
I've had this tv for about 3 weeks now and I love it. It was very easy to set up. By this I mean it was easy to assign my DVD/VCR player to the input jack. Now I can push DVD on the remote and it operates my DVD player. One less remote to deal with! (it can also do the same for more items, I just have the DVD player) It comes with a very nice remote control holder and a cleaning cloth (I didn't know and purchased a kit with a cloth and spray for LCD's) There are many options for screen viewing e.g. wide screen, cinema, etc. It has a volume control which I LOVE and have always wanted in a tv. And there are many options for picture and audio. There are many jacks in the back for different items, including a jack to make it your computer monitor which is GREAT for Netflix instant movie watching. (It's a true plug and play for the monitor, all you need is the cable!) I got the 32 inch as money was an issue. If I had more money, I would have gone bigger to spoil myself but this is a good size. I sit on a sectional so I can be as close as 5 feet and as far as 10 feet (in which distance is a factor when considering PPI on a tv) I was lucky that it was on sale when I bought it which is the same day my old tube tv blew up. I'm very happy! It comes with a 2 year guarantee but I also purchased the 4 year.I would recommend this to a friend
