Customers express satisfaction with the picture quality and price of the 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - HDTV. Many customers commented on the great picture and audio, while others appreciated the affordability of the TV. Although there were a few concerns about the HDMI ports and short lifespan, the overall sentiment towards this product is positive.
I recently purchased this TV during the Memorial Day sale. The price was right for a 55" class television. It replaced a 50" Samsung TV in my bedroom. Overall I like the TV for what it is: a big TV for not a lot of money. I'm still trying to get the picture adjusted to where I like it. It does have some 'soap opera' effect, or at least that is what I call it. It has enough HDMI ports, something that other makers are stingy with on their less expensive models. It's sleep timer works differently from my last TV. On it you could do a one time setup and it would turn on and off by itself at the times that I had selected. I miss this feature but I make do with this TV's version of a sleep timer. It's OTA tuner doesn't seem to be quite as good at picking up stations as my old TV did. I think that it has okay sound but I do use a sound bar with it. You can label each of the inputs with a proper name. My inputs are named Tivo, Blu-ray, and firetv. This is better than just a generic name like Cable or DVR or Input 1. I am happy with my purchase.

I would rate it 5 stars but I reserve that for amazing things. TV is solid. I bought 2 and hung them above my 70. I use this to watch sports on as we game on the 70 and the other 55. They great for gaming. May need to mess with settings to make it brighter. Sports and movies look great on them too. Good sound. And $430 a tv was a steal

Never owned a Insignia tv before. The quality, the size... And for what I paid for? I'm very satisfied.
