Product Manuals

Q: Is the teflon pot that's included with this pressure cooker okay to use or do I need to buy a stainless steel pot? Stainless steel seems to be what most people have. Is there a benefit?

A: Stainless steel is SAFER than teflon.

Q: What does OH mean on my pot? And does this have an automatic release or manual only?

A: It's a counter to tell you how long it's been in Keep Warm mode after finishing cooking. It is actually 0(zero)H, and stands for zero hours. After an hour has passed it changes to 1H, and so on. Hope this helped!

Q: It's called a multi function cooker, but I don't see any functions listed other than pressure cooking. What other functions does it serve?

A: Yes, the primary function is pressure cooking. But you can also use it as a slow cooker and there is a saute function, which heats up the pot high enough to use as a fry pan. I haven't used the slow cooker, since my main goal was to cook faster not slower. I have used the saute function to brown meat and saute vegetables and it definitely gets hot enough to do the job. In fact, it seems to heat up faster than the burner on my electric stove. The other buttons seem to be pre-sets for different modes of pressure cooking.

Q: Is this the same thing as an instant pot? If not, what's the difference? Would you recommend this product?

A: Yes this product is the same as an instant pot. It works great too!

Q: How can this be considered a 6 quart cooker when the pot only holds 12 cups? Has anyone been able to cook a whole chicken or 2-3 lb roast?

A: Yes, 4 pound roast with potatoes, carrots and onions in 2 hours flat.

Q: Will accessories for the 6qt Instant Pot work with this?

A: I'm sure that they will. This Insignia brand appears to be an exact duplicate of the Instant Pot brand.

Q: Is this the same as the instapot?

A: Same concept, different brand.

Q: How is this different from Instapot ? Or it is just Insignia branding for same Instapot feature set ?

A: Basically the same as the instapot, just a cheaper alternative.
