Don't have anything to compare it to for checking accuracy but they are in the proper range for a healthy person. (Haven't been sick since I purchased it for a comparison.) Appears to be made well and should work for years.

Tried it out on my wife and 2 kids and it was very easy to use and seemed to be accurate. I like this much better then the thermometer that we have that goes in the ear. Super quick and easy to use.
