Q: QuestionWhat SD card sizes is this card able to read?I have read other card readers have trouble reading older SD cards, such as, 2 GB, and smaller, does the Insignia NS CR2021 reader, have the ability to read 2GB, 512MB, and 256MB SD cards? Please, and thank you.
Asked by Douglas.
- A:Answer This card reader can read formats SD, SDHC, SDXC, microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC, MMC and MMC+. If your card is one of those formats, it will not have difficulty reading those sized cards.

Q: QuestionWill this format my micro sd?I need to transfer photos and im going from a samsung to a iphone, was wondering if when i plug in my micro that has TONS of pictures that i didnt back up and dont want to lose, anyone know if it will format it or if it wont?
Asked by ZackH.
- A:Answer The reader itself will not do anything to the card. Once you plug in the card it should open as a new drive letter on your My Computer screen, you will then work with it like any other storage device. Provided you do not tell the computer to format it, it should be just fine.

Q: Questioncan i transfer my phone contacts onto my computer using this memory card reader
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You'll love this answer - 'It depends'. :) The Insignia is a Micro SD card (and SD card) reader, not a SIM card reader. If you can copy / import your phone contacts, from your phone's SIM card to an installed (on your phone) micro SD card, then the answer is probably 'Yes'. (Whether you can read to format of the file on you computer is another issue. ) But, if your question is, can you use the Insignia reader to read files on your SIM card, the answer is No. The physical format of the cards are different.

Q: Questionjust the oneinstructions how to use product ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer My instructions were sandwiched inside the cardboard backing of the package. Here is a quick overview for Windows computers: 1. Plug the card reader into a USB port on the computer. The driver will install automatically. 2. Plug the card into the appropriate slot (SD cards go in label up, MicroSD cards go in label down). The blue LED lights. (The LED is to the right of the card slots) 3. Access the files using normal Windows procedures. 4. When done, eject the card thru Windows (don't just pull it out). Do not remove the card if the blue LED is still flashing. If the LED is not flashing, pull the card and the LED will then go off. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionDoes the SD/SDXC slot have a built in clip to lock the card in place? My old reader won't maintain a good grip on the SDXC slot, which makes the card unseat during transfers. My video camera has a lock in the SDXC slot that require the user to push the card further into the slot to release it.
Asked by Peter.
- A:Answer Yes, the memory card slot will lock the memory card in place.
