Exactly as stated
||Posted .This little gadget works exactly as it says it will. I did have to go back to my camera manual to set the camera on the correct settings, but once I did, it worked great. I wanted it for tripod mounted shooting to eliminate motion blur.

Received an open package, missing strap
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I ordered this recently, and the packaging for the remote was already ripped open. I was clearly sent an open box item. I would have been okay with it, but the strap that is shown in the picture was not included in the package. I also received no instructions on how to pair with my camera. I know it was only a $10 item, but I still feel ripped off.

Works, but...
||Posted .I was searching for a remote control to do some self-shoots with my husband. Technically this works, but you must point the remote directly to the IR sensor of the camera, otherwise it will not be recognized. If you don't want to have the remote in all your pictures you will (depending on your camera) possibly need a firmware update or add-on to get a delay between pressing the button and the actual photo. The biggest issue I had was finding out which cameras are working with the remote control. The internet isn't helpful at all and even the QR code on the package itself leads into nowhere. I can at least tell that it works with my (old old) Canon EOS 500d. So, with some minus points still a working accessoire.

Conflicted to leave this review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I purchased this wireless remote to take long exposure shots, because there is a project that I want to do that takes place in the night. When I checked the list of cameras from Canon that said this functioned with, it included my T6. However in my attempts to longer exposures shots, I discovered this remote connects to the IR Mode in cameras. My T6 does not have an IR Mode. Which I learned is the reason why my camera is lighter and lower in price because Canon just removed it for beginner Photographers. I am still going to keep it and wait until I have a full frame camera to use this wireless remote that also has IR mode, but really I'm just leaving my review so that I get my 25 Best Buy points. The Hustle is real our here

Great tool for the video blogger!!
||Posted .I have a Canon 4i I use for video blogging, and had been looking for a way to remote to my camera so I would not get so much camera shake when cutting on & off. Once I read over my Canon directions on setting this new device up, it worked like a charm!! Now I can remotely cut the camera on & off so I don't have to walk back to the camera or get up to stop the videoing. It's especially helpful when I make a "blooper", and can remotely stop the camera to get my thoughts together before starting again.

Reasonably Priced Remote
||Posted .This remote was purchased for a Cannon EOS Rebel T3i. I had read some reviews which indicated this remote did not work for this camera, but I took a chance anyway, and I haven't had an issue with compatibility. Like other reviews though, it is true you must point the remote at the sensor for it to respond, which is in front of the camera. This remote will be great for self portraits etc., but I will also be looking for a wired system so photos can be taken from the side or behind the camera for scenic shots from a tri-pod etc..

It works but range is limited in bright sunlight
||Posted .I had one of these before but miss placed it. It really came in handy in situations where you want to take a selfie with a DSLR and not your phone and you don't want to control the timing and don't want to use the camera's timer. Its a handy device for not a lot of money. You should test it out and get used to the way it works before you take your first picture. It isn't hard to use but it pays to practice with it. I thing the advertised range is around 16 feet but you may not be able to reach that far on a bright sunny day.
