This a great processor for gaming and anyone that tells you that you need more for 60fps+ 1080p gaming does not know what they are talking about. If you want to over lock than spend the extra $50 for the 6600k but if you don't plan on over clocking this 6500 is more than enough

I love my processor. It's handled gaming well, I do a little Photoshop and it hasn't been lagging at all. So far it's the best locked core you can buy. Cons: fan that comes with this... Throw it away and by a cheap one for 15 bucks at Fry's or Amazon
