It's only been installed for roughly a month paired with a Corsair H115i Platinum AIO Cooler. This processor is a monster for the price. It is easy to OC and has stayed cool through some lengthy gaming sessions. This is more CPU than I will ever need, and I'm happy I chose it over the unlocked i7. I would recommend this processor to anyone unless they're doing some intense video editing, etc. One note to prospective buyers: this CPU (as with all Intel processors I believe) does not come with any CPU cooler, and one will have to be purchased separately.

Coming from a 4790k I was apprehensive about upgrading in the past because I didnt feel the performance was there, but the 9600k changed that for me. I enjoy overclocking and this chip didn't disappoint, 5.2ghz on all cores with a max temp of 68c with a 240 aio left my 4790k in the dust and with much less power. Great chip and I highly recommend it.

Like most I have been stuck at home during the covid 19 lockdown. Looking for something to do I decided to see what I could put together for a decent price that I could dedicate for working on my 3D printing and modeling design projects in Fusion360 . I chose the i5 processor and MSI motherboard as I felt it would meet the demands of the tools required for this work. So far I am very pleased that it has lived up to the tasks intended. I assembled it on a simple vertical open framework and gives it a very Maker like appeal as well.
