I got this processor for my personal computer build. It's great for multitasking, video editing, live streaming and even gaming. It has 4 cores and 8 threads. Definitely a bear buy.

I purchased this processor after extensive review of the price/performance ratio between some of the newer Intel processors out there. I decided against going the AMD route because, at the time of writing, AMD is struggling to keep up with the advancements that Intel has made. The reason I chose this particular processor is because it's simply the best one for gaming and Twitch streaming right now. Some of the newer 5th gen processors are far too expensive (the 5960X is a thousand dollars ATM) and don't give much in the way of performance gains for that price. In addition, DDR4 RAM for the Broadwell processors is similarly prohibitively expensive. After purchasing and installing the 4790k, I ran several stress tests and the results are spectacular. Using a Corsair GTX h100i it remained below 55C in all my tests and didn't once need to shut down. I've never had a computer this fast before. My 512 Samsung Pro 850 SSD helps, and my boot times are under three seconds. I highly recommend this product.

Looking to build a fast and powerful PC but not looking to spend a ton on the path of a LGA 2011 socket CPU and board? Then I definitely recommend the i7-4790K CPU. If you get the right LGA 1150 board and CPU cooler you can overclock this CPU to even faster speeds. Plus with the right board you will be able to upgrade to the next gen CPU (Broadwell) when the time is right.
