I was running a 5820k 2011-v3 processor in my ASUS X99 Sabertooth. It's 3.3 Ghz and with an H90 cooling unit was able to overclock it to 4 Ghz with ease. I didn't want to go any higher else I would have to buy a new cooling unit. This 6850k clocks in at 3.6 ghz, which is nice but I was thinking it's a newer processor, at a higher frequency, I should be able to OC it to about 4.5 or so. This is not the case. At 4.4 Ghz this processor pushed 79 degrees. This is understandable. But, at 4 Ghz I was getting BSOD with voltage on auto. While the memory was overclocked from 2133 to 2400. So I set all that back and I'm running at stock :( to make sure it's not a bad processor... I'm pretty sure it's not. This processor appears to be just worse quality than it's former 5820k. If I find this to be different I will update this review.

This is a beast! I don't think I would need a processor faster than this one. For the price and performance that you'll get from this I'm pretty happy with this processor.
