A Post Apocalyptic Drama/Thriller with Heart
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendInto the Forest doesn't quite fit into the thriller or action category but I would recommend it for sci-fi fans. Actually, I would recommend it for anyone old enough for R rated content. This movie does a good job with developing its characters, while both leads handle the material well, if not exceptionally. It has atmosphere, and while maybe just falling a bit short of offering up something new, it isn't quite predictable either. This movie didn't quite spell bind me with its story, however, the message behind the narrative is quite good for a change, which affirms the value and sanctity of human life. It's by no means boring, and by the end of 100 plus minutes I still wanted more. That's always a great sign for a movie.

intimate independent drama
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendInto The Forest is an emotionally driven chamber drama featuring stand out performances by Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood. Against the backdrop of a a city (moreover, an entire country) that loses all access to power and electricity, these two sisters (Page and Wood) must learn how to function in a world that they are completely unfamiliar with. Although the story of the film was different, the tone and feel of Into The Forest reminded me of another small, independent drama from last year, Ex Machina. It's exactly the kind of film I love: an intimate drama driven by competent performers and a compelling story. It's one of my favorite films of the year, and it looks gorgeous on blu-ray.

very good post-apocalyptic movie
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendA very good, but not great post-apocalyptic genre movie. If you enjoy these types of films, you'll like this one. Two sisters surviving after the s*** hits the fan.

A good entertaining movie .
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a quality movie and well worth a viewing. It's kinda paint by the numbers but if your into survival movies, this is for you. The only thing I found a little irritating was the back story on what happened to the power ??? And to what extent the post apocalyptic damage was. The only reference was the fact one of the girls was going to run with a guy that she come across at a party... of note it would take them months to get where it was rumored to have power. Go get it !

Deep movie about survival
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendInto The Forest is a great deep movie about surviving without electricity, and having to rely on yourself and reverting to the old ways of getting by. The great cast brings the movie to light.

Ultimate Survival
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendEllen Page and Evan Rachel Wood are two sisters who try to survive in the woods after a continent wide power outage. Great viewing. Also very informative and useful when this really happens!
