Investigative Reports: Women Warriors - The Making of a Marine
This documentary, part of the Investigative Reports series from A&E, goes behind the scenes of the famous Parris Island base to watch female Marine recruits endure basic training. Narrated by Investigative Reports host and producer Bill Kurtis, this episode features unprecedented access into the grueling and tedious regiments that recruits have to endure in order to make it into the Marine Corps. The women recruits are followed through the last stage of basic training, called "the crucible," which either allows a recruit to graduate or forces them to start basic training over from the beginning. Investigative Reports talks with some of the recruits for their personal comments on how they survived the tough and demanding weeks of basic training. There are also interviews with some of the drill instructors, Marine officers, and with Brigadier General James Battaglini, all of whom provide insight into this intense form of training. ~ Cecilia Cygnar, Rovi
