This device has very good sound and good battery life. I have used it almost every weekend and holiday since I got it, weather permitting. The sound is very good for a speaker this small, and I usually use it for several hours at a time. My only gripe is the really Inadequate manual that came with it. To learn how to care for the battery and other details of its operation I had to go to the Ion website. I urge anyone who buys one to visit the website before using it, maybe during the initial charge.

After looking at several similar outdoor radios I selected the Tailgater Express. I’ve used it continuously while working outside and it is great. It holds a charge after a quick charge and works well with AM and FM reception. I’ve even used it around water and it is indeed water proof. A great outside radio for the price and I do not regret my purchase.

Battery life is not what it says to be I get maybe 7-8hrs playing at half volume so the battery wont die..sounds good but wish last longer
