    Worst Roomba yet

PROS: Vacuum works. CONS: mopping is three tiny streaks, if anything. No liquid is there. This is not approved for the Bona soaps, so if you want to use that idk. I haven’t tried it with the Bona yet, but I probably will because they claim it will leave to much liquid/suds. Im using the Roomba soap now and nothing is there. The robot is rattling like its about to fall apart. The dock has a corner loose where it wasn’t melded together properly. Its also getting confused and repeating the same pattern over and over and smacking into everything although i did a mapping run. For this price, low quality garbage without making sure that it can just do the basic functions with no improvement in their tech. Beware most of the reviews before mine, they received theirs for free for leaving detailed reviews.

    iRobot Playing Catchup

This is a fantastic robot vacuum if you are upgrading from another iRobot Roomba model. With the addition of the AutoWash dock, iRobot has finally caught up to the competition in some key areas. However, I wish I could say I was impressed with all of the features. When compared to what other brands are offering at or below this price point, iRobot still lags behind. That said, the Roomba Combo 10 Max performs well overall, and I believe most people would be highly satisfied with its features. The best feature of the Combo 10 Max, in my opinion, is its obstacle avoidance. Over the past six years, I've owned several robot vacuums, and it's clear that iRobot has put significant effort into this aspect. It’s the best I've encountered. The primary reason I rated it 4 stars is because I prioritize this feature above almost everything else. As a parent of three, I don’t always have time to pick up every toy, and even when I do, there’s always something left behind under the furniture. You could have the most advanced robot vacuum in the world, but if it constantly gets stuck on a book or a small toy, it's essentially useless to me. I've used the Combo 10 Max for a few weeks now, and it hasn't gotten stuck once or sucked up anything it shouldn't have. The mopping performance of the Combo 10 Max is also impressive. However, there’s room for improvement in its water management. It tends to oversaturate the mop pad, especially if you send it for a second mopping session after already cleaning another room. This could pose a long-term issue, as the vacuum tends to suck up that excess water, leading to more frequent cleanings of the rollers and bin. In fact, this is why I had to exchange my first unit. There was excess water pooling on the floor, but iRobot’s excellent customer service resolved the issue swiftly. They sent me a replacement unit within a few days, and the second one has been great so far. iRobot’s commitment to standing behind their products and going above and beyond for the customer is something you don’t see much of these days, and it gives me peace of mind. While the Combo 10 Max has many strong points, there are a few issues that could be deal breakers for some users. Firstly, the mop dryer built into the dock is incredibly loud. After the vacuum is emptied, the mop is washed, and the dryer kicks in. The noise is nearly as loud as the vacuum itself when it's on its lowest setting. If the Combo 10 Max is in a common area of your home, you will definitely notice it. I find myself turning the dryer off 90% of the time, which only worsens its water management issues. I can’t let it run for the recommended 3 hours to fully dry the mop pad because of the noise. This is the most disappointing feature of the Combo 10 Max. Secondly, the lack of LiDAR severely limits the robot’s ability to navigate efficiently, especially in low-light conditions. It often appears confused, cleaning the same areas multiple times, which increases the overall cleaning time, even for smaller rooms. I think iRobot should explore additional sensors to help with room positioning. Lastly, the bump sensor on the front is quite aggressive. It sometimes hits furniture harder than I'd like. You can adjust the sensitivity in the settings, but then the robot might avoid tighter spaces, potentially missing key areas like the space under a kitchen table. Despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend the Combo 10 Max, especially if you're looking to upgrade. Be prepared to adjust its settings to find what works best for your space. While iRobot still has room for improvement—such as adding heated drying, better sensors, or more robust app features—the obstacle avoidance, build quality, and exceptional customer service make the Combo 10 Max a standout flagship vacuum from iRobot.

Beta product released for consumer testing.

Terrible product. App is bad. Programming is bad. Obstacle detection is terrible. It stumbles around like a blind drunken turtle. AND it's immensely unreliable. Second day, sensor on bin broke, contacted IRobot, they sent the wrong replacement part after two weeks, sent a replacement robot, after an hour on the phone with them (just asked for the correct part), second robots mop arm was faulty. DO. NOT. BUY. Thank you best buy for making the return process easy.
